Well constructed, easy to assemble, but
on August 2, 2017

This is a well constructed and easy-to-assemble piece of furniture. Instructions are clear. The back on this unit is very solid, not a piece of fold out cardboard. However, there are a couple issues. First, all the shelves have doors with glass. That makes them impractical for equipment items that use a remote. Further, the shelves are about 2 inches deep, which means larger equipment such as surround sound receivers probably wont fit. An open shelf along the top would improve the situation. Still, its a solid piece of furniture at a good price. In the photo I added an extra shelf for my sound system box.A 49 inch TV is exactly the 44 inch width of the stand.

Fine picture, connectivity is limited
on August 2, 2017

This TV has an excellent picture, but unfortunately, connectivity is limited to 2 not 3 or 4 HDMI ports, a single USB port, a single set of component video inputs, and a digital optical connection. This would be a much better TV if it had an analog headphone jack that would permit volume control on an external speaker by using the TV remote, and at least one and maybe two more HDMI inputs. I guess I shouldn't complain too much, but as the price of flat panel TVs continues to decline, the manufacturers are cutting corners on connectivity options. I long for the day when it was routine for TVs to have an analog fixed or variable analog audio output. I would gladly trade that for the Web browser and other so called smart features. Hooking this TV to any sound system that does not have a digital optical input requires more boxes. My 2 year old Samsung 55 incher has the analog audio output, plus more HDMI and USB ports. Other manufacturers offer a variable analog audio output..Why has SAmsung chosen to eliminate this? My NEXT TV is going to be another brand with better connectivity..

Excellent stand, sturdy, good looking, roomy
on March 21, 2016

I like this stand very much. It is sturdy, good looking, with lots of room for equipment such as the cable box and the DVR, and drawers for remotes, manuals and spare wires. The brand says Insignia, but the box says made by Saunder, probably the biggest maker of knock down furniture.
Saunder knows how to build knock down furniture that goes together with only a few pieces of hardware. The product looks much like a furniture store purchase. I like the combination of shelves and drawers. The product is quite heavy once assembled, but that means it is very stable under a big TV. I have a 55" Samsung (JU6500) on mine, and it fits fine, hanging out only about 1 1/2 inches beyond the stand edges. I usually add my own touches to my knock down assembly projects. The only thing I did on this one was to add some plastic stick-on sliders so that I can now move it easily over carpet. You can see the width of the 55" TV relative to the stand on the attached picture.(The tall cabinets in the photo are Saunder as well, built years ago)

Excellent TV and Excellent sales personnel
on March 18, 2016

I went into the Best Buy store (Nicholasville Rd Lexington KY store) with a pretty good idea of which TV I wanted to focus on. I had studied the features on line beforehand. For me, the key to making the sale was the willingness of Best Buy to deliver the TV to my home and, more importantly, pick up the large broken 46 inch Sony projection TV (11 years old and quite bulky), and also deliver a knockdown Insignia (by Saunders) furniture stand in a box. That were fine. The TV salesman at Best Buy was most helpful. We set up the TV and tried to connect to my cable but quickly discovered that my Cable box was sending an RF signal to channel 4, and the new TV could not find what amounted to an analog channel 4. So, I was off to the cable company to swap out the box for one that outputted HD to HDMI, which is really what the TV wants to do, not run from its internal digital ATSC and QAM tuner off the raw cable. Lacking an internal NTSC analog tuner, there is no way for the TV to communicate via channel 4 analog. This all can get complicated, but the full Wi Fi and internal Web browser means that the TV is much like a very giant tablet, complete with apps. The software that runs the TV updates itself periodically from my Wi Fi. I'm running two separate sound systems using old school stereo receivers plus a powered subwoofer. System 1 runs from the audio out on the cable box, but system 2 runs from the audio out on the TV itself and also feeds the subwoofer which is self-powered and needs only a pre-amp signal. More modern setups will take advantage of the full Bluetooth capability internal to the TV and use a wireless sound bar. You put your Zip code into the TV and the TV finds the cable services in your area. Then the TV links to the specific cable company you are using. In my case the TV talks to my Time Warner service. John at Best Buy spent maybe an hour with me and was was very helpful in explaining the TV features and checking whether what I wanted to do sound wise would work. I also have a DVD recorder that contains a VHS machine in the system. There is a Samsung Bluetooth Keyboard available for the TV which will allow me to sit in my easy chair and use the built in Web browser that I am going to get. What I like about all of this is that new things can be interconnected as they come available. Thanks, John, for all the help! You are very good at what you do.

great machine A series AMD processor excellent
on December 25, 2011

I have been using this machine for the past 2.5 months. It's a great machine. The A4 processor is 32 nm and more than comparable to the late gen i3 Intel processors. Plus you have the high speed Radeon graphics built right on the CPU. Its really better set up for doing videop and games than the Intel i3 versions of the same machine.
The g4 and g6 series hps lack a numeric keypad. Don't expect to find Cyberlink power director on the machine even tho some descriptions claim that this particular model has it pre-installed. That was a disappointment. But technically this is a very capable machine, a mid-level laptop frequently on sale at an entry-level price. Given a choice between a laptop running the AMD A4 3300M or the i3 2310, at a similar price I would opt for the AMD A4, esp for home use focusing on video apps... Price versus performance, AMD really has something going for them with the new A series chips in the home laptop market
I have had no problems keeping the machine connected to the Internet.
What's great about it: Mid-level laptop at entry-level price
What's not so great: some software claimed to be pre-installed isn't

Enjoy modern farmhouse charm with this TV stand for flat screen TVs up to 60 inches and 50 pounds. Its unique saw cut style and innovative sliding barn doors will help you create a look everyone will love. Those unique doors conceal two side cabinets, each with two adjustable shelves for ample storage space. The open center shelf area also has two adjustable shelves, making more than enough room for gaming consoles, media components, and accent pieces you love to show off. Back panel cutouts help control wire tangles and provide ventilation for cooling components.

What is the height and width of each of the storage compartments - I need to ensure that my receiver will fit in the middle but it looks small.

It IS too shallow. THe shelves are only about a food deep

Enhance the media room in your home with this Bell'O A/V cabinet. It's large enough to accommodate a flat-screen television of up to 65 inches on its top and has six open shelf areas to fit gaming systems, components, books and cable boxes. This Bell'O A/V cabinet has a cable management system to conveniently conceal wires.

How wide are the side cabinets and center openings? More specifically, would standard AV gear at 17.5" fit inside the side cabinets?

No, the shelves are shallow, and that is an issue here as the back is not easily modified.

Edison Walker 44CCRBL, Why will it not hold a 45" wide 55" TV and what is the depth from the front to the corner cut Thanks

It will, but the TV will hang out an inch on the sides. You may have to move the stand slightly outward from the wall to accommodate this
