Dryer Heating Element Died
on December 14, 2015
Posted by: Darix
I purchased this unit on September 5th. It was delivered on the 11th. I have had this dryer for just over 3 months and the heating element has gone out. I will be contacting Samsung this evening to get this repaired.
This just does not give me piece of mind if this unit already has an issue this soon from purchase. My last Maytag dryer lasted for 15+ years without any major issues other than a dryer belt. I will update my rating as long as Samsung makes right on this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is the power cord included?

No, depending on your socket for your dryer you will need to purchase the 3 or 4 prong cable.

If you are replacing an older dryer the cable from it should be able to be used on the new unit and the prongs should already match your existing outlet.

Is 'Air Fluff' really a NO HEAT setting?

I want to make sure there is a NO HEAT setting to dry things that I absolutely do not want shrinking. Or, can anyone verify that the 'Very Low Heat' setting is actually VERY LOW. Thanks a million, lovers. I appreciate it.
Air Fluff is just as it is stated. The heating element is not used at all if this setting is selected.

Is this dryer really 7.5 cubic ft. Or is that just with the storage compartment?

Yes, this Dryer is really 7.5 cubic feat. The storage compartment is an additional accessory you can purchase and set under the unit.
