Fantastic first movie in the series. Just as good today as it was 30 years ago. Remastered video makes this a great buy.

This is one of my favorite horror movies. The low budget adds to the charm. Great audio and video on this disc but those who don't like gore and violence should beware.

An average remake of a great genre movie

The original Carrie is a great horror movie, a classic for a reason. This new modern version strips away always everything that was good about the original. We don't feel for Carrie like we do in the original, and the prom sequence is utterly awful complete with terrible CGI effects. And the ending doesn't really work at all. See it with your expectations tempered.
