Dramatic Depth of Field and perfect in low light situations due to the large aperture when used at f/1.8. This is typically used as a portrait lens but it works great for casual shooting and Macros too!

This lightweight lens has a sturdy construction and works great for Landscapes or for shooting in low light conditions. The image quality is clear and bright but softness and fringing occurs when shooting at f/2.8. Also it's so thin that I find it difficult to get a good grip while detaching it from the camera but once it detaches it can easily fit in a pocket.
My Best Buy number: 0577668863
What's great about it: Lightweight, Wide Angle View, Good in Low Light, Sturdy Construction, Fits in your pocket
What's not so great: Image softness at f/2.8, Difficult to remove lens from camera

This is a great camera for achieving that high end image quality without the hefty price tag. I like the feel of the camera, it has a nice sturdy grip. Changing the lens is easy but it can quickly acquire dust inside of it. The low resolution screen doesn't flip out or rotate which limits it's ease of use for more challenging shots. Navigating through the menu becomes frustrating if changing settings between shots. but overall, I'm fairly pleased with this camera. I've even been awarded for one of my photos that I captured with it.

With some trial and error, I was able to fit my Sony a3000 with the 55mm lens still attached into the bag on its side along with my 215mm lens. I was unable to fit it with the 215 lens attached to the camera. I placed one of the adjustable dividers around the lens and the the other I placed behind the screen for added protection. The 3 pockets have plenty of room for small accessories like batteries, charger, cables, lens cleaner, memory cards, etc. The top flap is somewhat cumbersome and awkward. It needs to be completely unzipped with the flap pulled back in order to get your gear out. Also the long strap is not removable but it has a nice padded area for lugging it over the shoulder.
What's great about it: Price I paid, fast shipping
What's not so great: Strap doesn't detach, Awkward Shape
I would recommend this to a friend!

Top View: 215mm lens on left, under the divider. Camera on the right, laying on its side for quickest access to the grip. I placed the smaller divider placed behind the screen.

It's not a Prime but works just fine

A nice upgrade and replacement for the 16-50 and 55-210 kit lenses. You won't need to swap lenses nearly as often. Image quality is sharp, but the far corners are soft at nearly all focal lengths. Aberrations become apparent when the aperture is wide open, or with high contrasting light. The bokeh is circular when achieved, but has an unfavorable, dimpled appearance. It's not a prime, but works just fine as long as you have good light.

*Update* After using this lens for a few months, I've noticed some undesirable qualities. The lock feature is only usable at 18mm when it's in storage. It would've made more sense if the lock feature was usable at all focal lengths, since the weight of the lens causes it to slip and zoom on its own. Also the chromatic aberrations are quite strong, as well as having a barreling effect. The bokeh is circular-ish, but boarders the line of being downright atrocious.. The center of the bokeh is consistently dotted with a dimple at the center! However, I will say this lens does take nice photos up to about 70 mm. 100 is soft, and above that, might as well forget about it. I feel like this would've been a much more effective lens if it were 18-70. It would have been cheaper, sharper, and less bulky for the ridiculously small a6000/ a6300 / a6500 bodies.
