One of the most suspenseful movie I've ever seen

This movie is one of those movies where you don't know what's going to happen next, but that's the beauty of it because it takes you on a roller coaster ride and you'll be glad you went on it
What's great about it: Good price
What's not so great: nothing

Jon Turteltaub's fantasy-comedy The Kid comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English, Spanish, and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. The English soundtrack is closed-captioned and Spanish subtitles are accessible. The entertaining supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by the director and the child actor Spencer Breslin, a behind-the-scenes documentary concerning how Breslin got the part and his work on the film, a series of interviews with Turteltaub, and the theatrical trailer. This is an excellent package for this hit film.

Frank Oz's comedy about a needy psychiatric patient comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. There are no subtitles, but the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. The only extra feature is the original theatrical trailer. This release is sure to please fans of this film -- there is a small cult following around it -- but those that were immune to its charms during its theatrical release are not likely to be won over by this average DVD.
