There's better for the money

While this speaker is very good, it's important to know that you'll be trading off some sound quality for a thinner speaker. The other reviews seem to indicate that there are no tradeoffs with this speaker, and that's simply not true. While this speaker is wall mountable unlike others, it lacks the bass and clarity of similarly priced products, namely Definitive's own Mythos Eight and Nine sound worlds better than this. Overall the build quality is excellent, however the finish scratches easily during mounting and the fabric cover looks pretty cheap in my opinion.
What's great about it: Wall mountable, decent sound
What's not so great: Sound quality below others in price range

Great Stand!

We absolutely love this stand, it has plenty of room for all of our equipment, and is pretty high quality. We purchased the additional TV mount with our stand rather than wall mounting our TV, and it looks fantastic. This stand has pretty good cable management, and keeps my equipment relatively cool, although my receiver does run slightly hot in the cabinet. The only negative comment I have about this stand is that it was scratched on the top pretty heavily right out of the box, and the two hinges for the bottom door were busted. We contacted BDI and they solved the problem right away, so kudos to them!
What's great about it: Looks, Quality, Storage Space, Easy Assembly
What's not so great: Durability

I am being assigned overseas and looking for a 42 in LED that can be used outside the US ie universal video system.

You're likely better off buying one overseas, if you purchase one in the US you may not be able to view content from overseas providers due to different signal types (PAL vs NTSC). Most modern cable boxes and other accessories will work with either type of TV, so you may be able to get away with it, but I wouldn't recommend risking it.

Are there any TVs on the market who let me zoom in on a picture/writings?

My eye sight is bad and I am in the market for a new TV, would like on that allows me to zoom in when needed to see better
Yes, most TVs offer a zoom button. However, this will cut off parts of the picture and most models do not have a way for you to pan the picture when in zoom mode. I would actually recommend purchasing an absurdly large TV, in your case, the larger pixel size should help you see clearer.
