So i purchased this unit for my apartment. The building has an issue with humidity and mold gets on everything due to this. Ever since i purchased this unit, i can breathe so much better and i no longer get allergies at home. I started feeling the difference within a day of having the unit on. I currently have it inside my bedroom since it's the most problematic area and i clear out a full bin of water a day. The only reason i did not rate it 5 stars is because after about 2 hours, the unit starts to blow out warm air instead of cool air and therefore warms up my room. My solution was to just have it on while I'm not there lol and the AC on when i am lol.

Cools the temperature of a room?
I'm looking for a device which is not an AC neither a fan that can cool the air temperature of my room. I already have a Dyson fan and my room is still super hot and would not like to buy an AC or a portable one. Would a dehumidifier work?

Well this is a tricky question because yes you will feel a lot better if you currently have a lot of moisture in the air. This machine definitely helped me feel like i wasn't swimming in my room anymore lol. It blows out cool air at first, but the longer you have it on, the warmer the air will get. At least for me. So i usually only leave it on during the day when I'm not there and then when i get home i have my wall unit ac on to feel cool.

Specify exact hose size needed? Must one have 3 prong outlet or can one use 3 prong adapter?
A hose is not required as it has a bin that you can just pull out and dump when it is full. But if you are going to hook it up to a hose, it has a little attachment that you screw the hose onto it. It looks like you can fit a regular hose onto it honestly.
