Before I purchased this TV I was down in my research to the Samsung KS9800 and the LG C6. Luckily when I arrived at Best Buy they were sitting right next to each other, so comparison was easy. While the OLED had better darks the Samsung had better brightness. So it was really a toss up. Samsung at the time had a better offer. If I bought the tv on that date they would throw in the 4k Bluray player for free. I took the bait and here is my testimony:
Picture quality:
4K Bluray movies with HDR were just jaw dropping. This set truly shows that HDR is not a gimmick. The inky blacks were not washed out when paired with bright lights in the scene. The color spectrum provided a wider array than I thought was possible. Now I will say that it took some adjustments to make some motion judder go away, but setting blur to 10, judder to 0, and clear motion off seemed to do the trick.
When watching Directv it looks different, but as we all know it's output is 1080i. It really just depends on the broadcast, somethings look better than others. I for one think it looks as good as any other tv in terms of picture of network broadcasts.
Remote: Actually after hearing a bunch of complaints about this remote I was expecting nothing special, but I really like it!
It is very simple and maybe some dislike that, but I like it cause it isn't busy. Everything you need runs through the home button which is displayed on the tv. The user interface is simple and smart. I can make quick adjustments on the fly without stopping my show or movie.

Overall I love this tv. The only thing I really had to correct was the motion portion to get rid of some choppiness. Give this set a shot and you will be blown away with what it has to offer!

I upgraded from a def tech super cube 4000. Not to say that my old sub was terrible, but it did not give me the performance I was seeking. The ML 1500X not only delivers, but is delicate in how it does so. It sends heavy bass waves through the couch and doesn't interfere and become overwhelming with the rest of the surround sound. I did buy the PBK system to help with room correction. It does just that! I will say the only problem now is I have to start sound proofing the area. I am happy to do so, because it delivers more than I could ever need!

so far so good, I've been looking to purchase a TV for my living room for some time now. At first I was looking at the previous model year the 850B but comparing the two the 850c took the cup. The reason I went with this model instead of last years is On color reproduction. The 850B when I first saw it thought wow this looks so good. But after seeing the 850c it's more of a natural color tones and it's not as vibrant which I knew over time I would probably turn down the settings for the color. Anyways so far so good I'll probably chime back in once I get more viewing time. It's only been two days since I've gotten it setup. HBOgo from my Xbox one looks pretty good especially with game of thrones awesome...

Great TV, but don't buy if you want 3D

I first want to start out by saying this tv is awesome! Amazing picture! I will also say that the 3D on this tv does not work properly. I returned it because 3D movies had cross talk problems from the middle of the screen all the way to the left. Everything from the middle and to the right of the screen was flawless. I was able to get a new one and again the same problem. I unfortunately do not have a truck and did not return it in time. I regret it to have paid $600 extra dollars for a broken feature. I emailed tech support and all they could offer me was a factory reset which was unable to resolve the issue. I believe it still is under warranty, so I will try my best to see if Sony will work with me. All I can say is if the 3D worked I would give it a 10 out of 5 cause everything else works great!
