Disappointed

The Ghost Recon and GRAW franchise has been one of my favorites, well over Battlefield and COD. I can't tell you how many hours I'd spent playing GRAW and GRAW 2 on Xbox Live, so I was expecting something to that quality or better. Didn't get that with this game. With the multiplayer everything is objective based, no option for Team Elimination. Most people in the online community treat it as if it is Team Deathmatch, so it becomes demanding to play a competitive match with some teamates going to the objectives while others are just running around the map. Who develops a shooter without this standard feature? The maps are lacking a lot of interaction that you come to expect within the COD and Battlefield. The custom classes on Multiplayer are ok, but nothing Earth shattering.
The gameplay was ok, but it's all about not being seen, to much time avoiding enemies and not enough time using brute force. I'd been looking forward to a new Ghost Recon game for a long time, but this was more of a disappointment than anything.
What's great about it: Graphics, Gun Options
What's not so great: Multi-Player - No Team Elimination "TDM"

Great Game

I want to start by saying I am an avid COD Online Gamer. Black Ops has its fair share of ups and downs like any game. I’ve had a few days of playing to formulate my opinion. Let's start with the ups.
I really love the features they've added to the multiplayer mode. COD points are fantastic. Another feature I love is being able to create your own emblems and customize weapons. The contract feature is great on paper, but I haven't experienced a wide variety of challenges from it.
I really like the Killstreaks they've added to the game. They are easily obtainable and all seem to do a lot of damage. I also love the variety of game modes. I also like not having a bunch of Modders running around like in Modern Warfare 2.
The graphics surpass Modern Warfare 2. The environments are very interactive. It's not perfect there are some spots where you questions why you can't climb or perch. Some of the environments are destructible which adds some realism.
Now to the things I don’t like. The differences between the two studios that produce Call of Duty are very evident in the maps. Black Ops feels very close quarters. This leads me to my first major issue respawns are awful. I have had it almost every match where I respawn next to a teammate who is getting shot.
The second thing I don’t like about the game is that the Perks don’t hold as much weight as the previous games in the franchise. In Modern Warfare 2 I put a lot of thought in to constructing each one of my classes to the various perks that would work well with different weapons. Perks don’t seem to be that potent in this one.
My last complaint is that there are only 50 levels per prestige this is something I can live with, but doesn’t make it as fun or challenging to prestige. In kind of stinks to not get to spend as much time with your unlocks before you lose them.
Overall, it’s a great game it has it’s up and downs like it predecessors. I would recommend purchasing this game.
What's great about it: Gameplay - Online
What's not so great: 50 levels prestige, perks, maps

A must have have! Wii what?

I must say that I am typically a controller gamer. When the Wii came out my wife loved it, so we've spent many hours together playing. Recently, we've lost interest.
This weekend we purchased, and played it with the rest of the family. Within 24hrs my sister-in-law purchased her own.
The kinect has lots of cool features and so far known of the glitches we've seen with the Wii. I can tell you that it makes hours of funtimes. The motion capture is very accurate.
What's great about it: Voice command, sensitivity, graphics.
What's not so great: Being sore.

Let me say first have always had a love for FPS and this genre of game. This one blows them all out of the water. I've owned all of the Call of Duty games but never found myself still playing almost a year later. The only games that have kept my attention span this long were GRAW 1, GRAW 2, and Halo 3. Multiplayer modes that it.
Graphics in this game are amazing. Environments are great, not standard textures such as with most Halo games. Campaign was fun and challenging at times.
The reason to buy this game is for XBox Live Multiplayer. This is extremely addicting. You will find yourself on it for hours try to unlock the next weapon, attachment, callsign, emblem, or dominate your friends. Never has a multiplayer for console brought so many people together of all ages.
The only downside to the online play is the Modders, Hackers, etc. All of these people are spineless losers who have no integrity. What is funny is that they're playing an Military games. One of the core values that was pushed on me during my service to the country was integrity.
What's great about it: Hours, hours, days, weeks, months
What's not so great: Mods, Cheats, Boosters

Another Halo Game!

Alright to start I have been a huge fan of the franchise since well Marathon - the original Halo. The Campaign is great there's quite a few challenging mission. The graphics are up to par with Halo 3 and ODST.
There are the standard Halo glitches, I flipped a Warthog and couldn't get my team to get back in. I think the campaign is very interesting, but it's definently the same old Halo.
They've made a lot of great changes to Multiplayer. I will say that was the reason I bought the game was for XBox Live. I was addicted to Halo 3 Multiplayer for about a year after it's release.
I really like what they've done with the point system. There's lots of cool features to unlock. This will be addicting to the true Halo fans.
Since I have been playing COD games. After a good year of Modern Warfare 2, I was disappointed with Halo: Reach everything seems really slow. I would not reccomend for any Veteran COD Multiplayer Gamer.
What's great about it: Graphics, Campaign, New Features, Unlockables
What's not so great: Multiplayer feels like it's a slow pace compared to other FPS.
I would recommend this to a friend!
