The TV itself is fine, sound not that great but adequate. I purchased a cheap sound bar for less than $100 and the sound on it is much better than the TV. Also after only 2 months use a red vertical line appeared on the screen. Fortunately it was still under the manufacturer warranty so they came out and replaced the front screen at no charge, took a couple of weeks from start to finish. I probably would have given the TV a four star rating had it not had an issue with the red line.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
