It's sort of the gaming equivalent of chinese food, it's a tasty and enjoyable experience, but you're going to be hungry again in 30 mins.
Not much here for solo players, you'll enjoy a few evenings and move on. Best played if you have friends that are and will be actively playing the game for awhile.
I know a lot of Star Wars fans, so they keep me playing and it's fun.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is the ultimate 3-games-in-1 experience. In Campaign mode, you must navigate the hot spots of a new Cold War to find your missing brothers. Players can play the campaign cooperatively or solo and are now always connected to the intelligence grid and their fellow operatives during battle. Multiplayer features a new momentum-based chained movement system, allowing players to fluidly move through the environment with finesse, using controlled thrust jumps, slides, and mantling. Black Ops III multiplayer also introduces the new Specialist character system, which allows players to master 9 characters' battle-hardened weapons and abilities through a challenge-based unlock progression system. No Treyarch title would be complete without its signature Zombies offering. "Shadows of Evil" has its own distinct storyline right out of the box, set in the fictional 1940s Morg City, where four particularly troubled individuals — the femme fatale, the magician, the detective, and the boxer — star in this film-noir inspired horror story.

It's Call of Duty, pretty sure you know what that means and how you feel about that. I tend to think of them much like yearly sports franchises. This is an iterative game series, if you're tired of the core experience this isn't going to change your mind. But if you're still enjoying the ride, you're going to get a lot of great content in this package.
I must note that as of the time I am writing this the Xbox One version does have some noticeable frame drops. Nothing game breaking, but if that sort of thing is a deal breaker for you it's something to consider.

Tons of options to tweak to you liking.

Polished, and fun...not without flaws.

I give it 5 stars not because I think it's perfect, but because I think it's strengths pull a lot of weight.
The story of the single player campaign doesn't quite gel, it requires too much outside knowledge, leaves too many threads hanging, and doesn't do a good job of setting making you believe in the motivations of many of the characters. In short it's the weakest story since Halo 2.
But I did quite in enjoy the gameplay, and much of the encounter and level design. It does however rely quite heavily on a repeated boss encounter that features little to no variation whenever it pops, and there are some strange sections where you just walk around and talk to people, these feel a bit like there was a broader idea for them that never came together. But these are brief segments between some wonderful action set pieces. It won't convert the cynics, but it's fun all the same.
The multiplayer is the best since Halo 3. You can jump into tight fast paced 4v4 matches, or large scale warzones with multiple objectives. The gameplay rewards, practice and game knowledge, encounters are not determined by who has the better loadout. And with the recent addition of big team battle, and the upcoming forge mode, along with all the maps being free, it stands to get better.

This film has a wonderfully constructed premise, a group of honorable warriors must assassinate a psychopathic lord before he can ascend to a powerful position and cause real damage to the country.
It takes it's time, build it's characters and it's world. It's a slow burn, but it pays off big time.
A great example of craft, one of the best action films I have seen in recent years,

It's quite a good looking game, and the Batman gameplay is as solid as always. You might tire of the batmobile content though.
