Extremely difficult to clean

Installed this in my new kitchen. It is so hard to clean, is already scratched, and looks like an old cooktop in new kitchen. Very unfortunate. Do not buy in black.
What's great about it: cooks well
What's not so great: extremely difficult to clean
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
