Works fine and fast loading Blu-rays Easy setup

I got a great deal with a rewards coupon and open box (and some Xmas cash). I like the small size. Simple design. I wont' use streaming services just Blu-ray and DVD. It plays those fine and loads fast for a Blu-ray player. It only has HDMI video and Digital Coax out which is fine because I already had those cables. I hooked it up t a Samsung Plasma and Pioneer Elite Av Receiver. The remote is small but the buttons are well laid out and responsive. It comes with two AAA batteries. It has a small plug and thin power cord. It uses a 'power brick' not a two ro three pronged plug. So I was lucky I had an outlet that it fit on my Monster surge protector. It only has ethernet but wil stream Netflix etc. I hooked it up to a pro NEC IPS monitor that accepts HDMI to set it up initially because that's close to my ethernet Internet connection. It works great. It updated the firmware/software quickly. Easy setup. So if you don't' have a TV or monitor like I do to do initial setup near an Ethernet outlet you might need the step up Wi-Fi (maybe). I just got it but overall it seems like it will do just fine.

iPod shuffle comes in 5 stunning colors. And with up to 15 hours of battery life, it is good to go for hundreds of songs.¹ The control pad makes it easy to play your music. VoiceOver tells you the song title or playlist name.² And you can sync multiple playlists from your iTunes library.

Nice Design Works Fine Clear Sound Playlists Nice

The sound is clearer than my 1st gen Shuffle. However like bass. the 1st gen exhibits more. This one has enough bass. it hurts my sensitive ears a bit. It's not really 'bright' as I would put it. Just detailed. Most people should be fine. The playlist function is nice with the press & hold of the button. But takes some getting used to. The silver is nice. Easy controls. My 1st gen earbuds sound better to me than the included ones. However like I said I like bass. the new ones are just fine otherwise if I had nothing to compare it to.

The thinnest iPad ever is also the most capable. It's loaded with advanced technologies, including the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

I’ve never owned an iPad. Have had Macs for the longest time. We needed to replace my Dad’s old PPC iMac. But only because web sites weren’t working anymore. So instead of a Laptop or new iMac this fit the bill for the size, portability, and price. We got a Logitech Type + Keyboard from BB that works really well as a mini laptop. It was relatively easy to setup. Just have passwords ready. Lots of steps but understandably so. It’s very responsive. Since I’ve used Mac OS for may years iOS takes getting used to. you can download a free user book from the iBooks store. 16GB is more like 10-11 though. We wont’ use it for too many photos and videos. The power cable is long enough but could be extended. We’ll use it plugged in like my laptop. the best buy associate said heavy daily use the battery could last two years. We hope to get more out of it than that. everyone I know who has an iPad loves it.

Lightwieght Attractive Sturdy Nice Keys & Angle

It's very nice looking, very lightwieght yet protective, closes via magnets, comes with short USB charger cord (have to plug USB into ipad's power plug or I guess a computer). A single but nice viewing angle, keys are nice size and spaced well better than Targus for example. Smoke grey plastic interior, black cloth outside, soft keys shouldn't scratch ipad, sleep/start key and USB plug accessible. shortcut keys are nice.overall makes ipad air 2 feel like a mini laptop

MCACC Auto Calibration, Has basics, Not Elite

I got it open box for $159. This is an adequate entry-level AV receiver. If you’ve never experienced the sound of high-end receivers, and just need basic hook-ups and functionality, this should be just fine for the price for an average-sized home theater set-up. Besides HDMI for those who use it, it also has (1) Digital Coaxial and (1) Optical for DVR, Blu-ray, or DVD players. The MCACC Automatic Calibration seems to work well. Make sure the room is quiet. You plug in the included mic that has a long cord. Set it on a tripod or pillow on a chair in your listening position ear-level. You plug a composite video cable into the TV from the back of the receiver to access the GUI menu. Press a button and it cycles thru test tones in a few minutes. It sets the speaker sizes (Small or Large ie. Small will send more bass to the sub woofer), Crossover Hz also for how much bass goes to a SW, Distances to the decimal point, and Channel decibel levels. You can go back and tweak the results manually. Use the Channel Select button on the remote to adjust the individual speaker levels if necessary. But the calibration seemed accurate. It has a lot of different audio effects. I settled for ‘Direct’. I turned off the Phase control. Remember to set your TV speakers to Internal Mute otherwise you’ll get an echo effect. The FR and FL inputs accept banana plugs. The Center, Surround Left and Right are spring clips that won’t accept heavy 12 gauge wire easily. 16-18 gauge will be fine. It comes with a printed quick set-up guide. A full user guide PDF comes on a CD or download it from the Pioneer web site. It comes with an antenna. The remote isn’t backlit but the buttons are well laid out, a nice size, and easy to use. It scrolls the name of the audio effect across the LED display. The display is a nice blue color and you can adjust the brightness. The Best Buy extended warranty was only $35 for 4yrs. I’d probably recommend that for receiver’s these days.

Mac Instructions Quiet Great OEM Price & Packing

• I replaced my 2006 Mac Pro original HDD. On that Mac there’s no cables nor software required. Just plug it in. So this OEM bare drive was just what I needed.
• It’s pre-formatted for PC’s. If it’s installed in a Mac it alerts you that it’s not readable. Don’t be alarmed. It has to be formatted with the Disk Utility app that came with your Mac. It can also be partitioned and made bootable in any Mac OS X. Search Apple’s site for specific instructions as this bare drive doe not come with any.
• The 7200rpm drive itself is very quiet. It’s WD’s “Blue” category. WD’s web site has model comparisons to “Green” and “Black”.
• It doesn’t come in a fancy retail box with cables, manual or software which constitutes this as a “bare” drive. The product photo shows the insides of the drive. But it’s completely encased in metal so don’t get confused that is why it’s called a “bare” drive. I bring that up because my friend didn’t understand the terminology. I can see the potential confusion as people are used to buying in the retail packaging.
• It was shipped quickly double-boxed in a heavy-duty kraft box with the standard thick plastic holders and sealed in it’s original antistatic bag.
• BB price matched a competitor, I used a Rewards Certificate from my recent MacBook Pro Retina purchase, today I saw BB went on sale so they price matched. Very happy with the deal.

My Mom needed a new clock radio for the kitchen. This fits the bill for the price. Pros: stylish black bar look, small footprint, attractive blue read-out, solid buttons on top, good speakers, radio station presets. Cons: Very minor. the dots between hours and minutes flashes constantly and can't be turned off. If you use it as a bedroom night stand alarm clock it might bother you. We don't use it as an alarm clock. The battery back-up didn't seem to work. I could have exchanged it to see if it was just this one. But our power goes out once in a while and like I said we don't use it as an alarm clock. The volume jumps in loudness between settings 02 and 03. It'd be nice if it was a step in between. For an inexpensive reliable kitchen clock radio my Mom's pleased with it.

On screen display
How do I turn on the on screen display
If you mean the menu for the receiver. You hook up a composite video cable (the one's that have yellow plugs - although I have one that's longer and gold plated) from the Monitor out on the back of the receiver to any yellow video plug on your TV (it won't work any other way). press the 'Receiver' button on the remote. Press the little round Home button on the remote. Then the menu shows up white on black on the TV. You can use the Automatic MCACC calibration with the included mic plugged into the front of the receiver. Or adjust levels manually. Adjust the individual speaker decibel levels using the Chanel Select button on the remote with the readout on the Receiver's LED display.

May i use 4 ohm speakers with VSX-524-K?
That should be no problem. I tried Definitive Technology 4-8ohm rated speakers.
