Good laptop for less than $300

Just got it for two days. Overall I am satisfied with it.

What is good:
1. Newest CPU, which is 7 series;
2. The overall quality feels solid.
3. Sound is not bad, Wireless is fast as expected.
4. Has bluetooth
5. The power cord is long enough and the power adapter is cute, which is more convenient than a huge one.

Which is not good but acceptable.
1. The screen quality is just so so. Worse than the expensive one. If you are picky for the screen, do not purchase this one. Since I also use Mac, it took me several hours to get along with this relatively poor screen quality. However, the screen quality worth the price.
2. 6G Memory may not enough for heavy use, but enough for the normal use, like text editing, web browsing, and video watching, etc.

Can I increase the RAM on this machine?

It has two slots:

Memory Speed 2133 MHz
Configuration Features 1 x 4 GB + 1 x 2 GB
Technology DDR4 SDRAM

You can buy two 8GB, and make it total 16GB.

Can this laptop run Minecraft and call of duty black ops 3 Thank you

Minecraft should be ok. But black ops 3 may not fluent with high graph quality. You can check the hardware requirement of the game.
BTW, If you want to play games, choose a laptop with discrete graph card.
