Hailed as one of the best anime series of all time, this special set contains every episode of Fullmetal Alchemist, which follows brothers Alphonse and Edward Elric on their mission to find the legendary Philosopher's Stone, their only hope for restoring their bodies after a failed alchemic attempt to resurrect their mother.
Was so happy to see it has come back in blu ray but once i played it was dissapointed to see it has the black bars at the sides of the screen in order to receive the blu ray effect, and well it is not a fullscreen blu ray release but other than that awsome stuff :)
This explosive release from the hard hitting anime series Btooom! includes all 12 episodes of the show, following the story of a boy named Ryuta whose source of excitement moves from the video game world to real life when he wakes up on an island where he is being forced to act out someone else's sick game.
Btooom is literary an explosive anime, as future diary, this one is another survival game anime in which the participants are put to kill or be killed against their will, anyhow any Madhouse production is guaranteed to be top notch so go and watch this one right here :)
Great anime overall, a tad bit generic in terms of its story line but yet very entertaining if you like Bleach you might just really enjoy the concept to this anime. Beautiful visuals and a great sub, dub seems fair but dull in comparison, whats best though is this box set, it is huge and beautifull decorated, got to save some cash and get this one myself lol
Every episode of the action anime series Future Diary is included in this collection. The story follows Yuki, a cerebral, introverted boy with an invisible friend, who realizes that the diary he keeps on his phone can now predict the future. Yuki meets up with a feiry fellow "future diary" owner named Yuno, and together end up fighting a group of vicious opponent to gain full control over the alternate dimension into which they have been transported.
I own the limited edition DVD set of this one and have watched the series and its entirety, definetely a great series worth the watch, gets a little jumbled by the end however manages to keep its story extremely entertaining throughout as well as keeps you intrigued, awesome series but very gory and sexually explicit :P
This haunting release from the horror anime series Another includes all 12 episodes of the show, following the story of a high school girl who mysteriously went missing 23 years ago, and whose legacy still haunts its halls.
Bought this one about a year ago and do not regret it, starts off a tad slow but escalates soon leaving you with a growing interest as each episode climaxes to an end. overall it was a good watch but when it comes to horror series When They Cry totally takes the win :)
Starts off as an OVA recap to the series but ends with a very nice addition to it which makes us consider this a movie of its own. Very nice if youre a fan of the series then youll most likely love this movie makes you want to watch it all over :)
Two prolific video game players, brother and sister duo Sora and Shira, become increasingly removed from the outside world. But, when their gaming talents place them in life-or-death stakes, the players must find a way to save humanity in this anime. This release contains the entire series of No Game No Life as well as special bonus features including commentary from the show's creators.
I didnt quite get hooked compared to plenty of other anime on the first watch but a few episodes in i realized this is a pretty well done anime that keeps you wondering what will the next move in the game will be. very nice box set, senpai... i mean Sentai filmworks is known to make some very nice disc artwork, i would totally buy this sooner or later :)
Starts very slow but soon picks up pace. An amusing story that interestingly enough is a spinoff of the original A certain Magical Index, so nice to follow up with this one very funny cool characters :) and an AWESOME first opening song :D
This would be the second part to the 3 movies in the remake and remastering of the original Berserk series. A very visceral, brutal, but touching story, one of the best anime you can possibly watch if you have a strong stomach.... the third movie is by far the most grotesque :)
In this anime about the divide between the physical world and the spirit realm, a young girl makes friends with a forgotten god and a dead boy reincarnated as his sword after a car accident destroys her hold on reality.
Ive seen this one two times already, and must say it is very good :) at first appears to be another cliched typical anime with some comedy here and there but it eventually takes turn a few episodes in for a great story and plot line. Definitely recommend.
This haunting release from the mysterious anime series Future Diary includes episodes 14-26 of the show, following the story of a boy named Yukiteru, who finds a discarded cell phone containing a diary that throws him into a life-or-death game of survival.
"Yuno's psychotic episodes are getting out of control -- but Yukiteru's already in too deep with every diary keeper raving to take him out. He'll have to trust her undying devotion to him if he wants to avoid the consequences. As the rules take a twist and new players enter the game, the bloodshed knows no boundaries. Manipulation leads to manslaughter, and what is real could actually be a product of chaos. With the world on the verge of collapse, there's no predicting who'll get the happy ending they're fighting for. Expect a spike in adrenaline as the race for ultimate godhood peaks to total insanity."
Just love this show so much! You honestly never know what's going to happen with so many players on the stage and even more behind the scenes. Even after having originally streaming it last year, I still found myself noticing new things this time around which just makes me want to watch it again. Funimation did an amazing job with the English dub. I still encourage everyone to watch some of the scenes with Yuno in Japanese, though. Try to find some with her in normal, loving, psycho, and enraged mode.
Part 2 concludes the Future Diary series with half of the diary holders already killed off. The surviving members consist of Yuki *1st* and Yuno *2nd* as well as 7th *pair of lovers*, 8th *orphanage matron*, 9th *Minene*, and 11th *the Mayor*. New players continue to enter the game as it's revealed that one of the diaries acts as a network server which can give diary powers to others as well. A tragic series of events turns Yuki from a cowering child into a merciless, cold-blooded killer as he declaries that he will be the winner.
I wasn't as huge of a fan of the opening and ending themes for season 2. It's hard for anything to live up to *Kuso Mesorogii* and *Blood Teller*, but *Dead End* and *Filament* are still pretty good.
I have to figure that any series that I can get my brother to sit down and watch, that isn't a comedy, is pretty darn good. He watches some, but not much and he's dead set on finishing this one with me. If you can get past the death and carnage, it's a great series that keeps you on your toes the entire time.
