Earth is burning and mankind may not survive. A race of terrorizing machines, known only as Reapers, from beyond known space has invaded our home planet and left a trail of destruction in its wake. With civilization on the brink of eradication, an Alliance Marine, Commander Shepard, is the last hope for humanity's survival. He must rally civilizations from around the galaxy to launch one final mission to take back Earth and save the human race from annihilation. Mass Effect 3 is the follow-up to the popular 2010 Mass Effect 2. Return to the role of Commander Shepard, and assemble civilizations of the galaxy to dispatch one final mission to fight back the invading forces and save the Earth from total destruction. Explore the rich, branching storyline with multiple endings that are shaped by your choices and actions during gameplay. Determine how events will play out, which planets to investigate and whom to form alliances with as you fight to eliminate the Reaper threat. Engage in epic sci-fi combat on many worlds across the galaxy as you fight to take back the Earth before it's too late. Lock and load and head into battle with guns firing or utilize cover to plan a more tactical approach. Command and direct your squad of allies to take out the Reapers, or decimate the alien race alone — the choice is yours. Fight against enormous enemies and intelligent foes that will keep you on your toes by challenging your best combat tactics. Customize your arsenal with powerful upgrades, including scopes, grips, barrels and dozens of additional attachments. With a multitude of decisions at your fingertips, Mass Effect 3 lets you choose your path to glory in an all-out war for your home planet.

GREAT GAME!

Overall, Bioware has done a fantastic job on the Mass Effect Trilology. The story telling in this game is both immersive and satisfying; Combat is exciting and fun; Graphics and sound are first rate.
There are a few story glitches and some of the space exploration side missions are repetitive. Considering the size and complexity of the game, I'm actually surprised it was released with relatively minor bugs and glitches. Lots of studios push out games these days half broke. Bioware seemed to have gotten it right... again!
What's great about it: Story driven space / RPG / FPS game all in one.
What's not so great: May cause your social life to disapear for several days!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The long-awaited and much-anticipated next installment of the award-winning The Elder Scrolls franchise is here. Now, the expansive, open world that forever revolutionized the face of the fantasy epic leads you deeper into the combat, the magic and the myth than you've ever been before. This time, you don't just play as a character, you truly become whomever it is you wish to be — and have the freedom to do anything you can possibly imagine. This follow-up to the 2006 Game of the Year, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, offers stunning graphics and a gripping storyline that immerses you in the game from the moment you turn it on. Are you ready to unroll the Scroll and let the journey begin?Imagine rolling clouds, rugged mountains, bustling cities, lush fields and crumbling dungeons. Imagine ancient dragons beholding secrets so powerful they could transform your future. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim immerses you in the engrossing world of the franchise you already know and love with more realism, more choice and more intensity than ever before. Featuring a new game engine that brings every tiny environmental aspect to life in blistering detail and AI that brings you close to your allies — and your enemies — Skyrim blurs the line between your world and that of the game. An all-new character engine opens wider an already vast virtual world, putting every decision, every action and every consequence entirely in your hands as you arm yourself with hundreds of new weapons, abilities and spells. Developed by Bethesda Game Studios, the creators of the 2008 Game of the Year, Fallout 3, this immaculate fifth chapter challenges your skills, immerses your mind and will forever change the way you view gaming. It's time to return. It's time for Skyrim.

The best RPG ever created
on November 13, 2011

To say Skyrim is the best RPG ever created is a bold statement in a genre filled with so many amazing titles. From the original Pool of Radiance, to Baulder's Gate, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, and Fall Out (just to name a few) I have never played a RPG as beautiful, immersive, and as fun as Skyrim. With well over 100 hrs of game play, fun and exciting side quests, a great main story line, and a massively open-ended world to explore, Skyrim is guaranteed to put a major dent in your social life for weeks to come.
Bethesda has improved on nearly every short coming of Oblivion. The characters and graphics are more realistic with a world where you can almost taste the dirt and grime. The process of character creation and leveling has been improved drastically. The crafting / alchemy system has also been revamped to allow for a substantially more fun experience (you can now also forge your own weapons and armor)! There is a much greater variety of weapons, armor, and miscellaneous items EACH beautifully rendered in stunning detail. There is also much more variety in textures eliminating the "every fort and dungeon looks the same". Your characters (and horses) now "stick" to the ground instead of floating / flying. The sound effects and sound track are awesome.
I could go on and on over the awesomeness of this game and the huge improvements in brings to the Elder Scrolls series. However, there are a few cons as well.
On the Xbox, loading times can be very long (on the PC they are nearly instantaneous). The graphics on the Xbox is also noticeably lower then the PC version. However, the game's interface and control is obviously designed for a console's controller and thus can be a little burdensome with a keyboard (luckily you can buy an Xbox like controller for the PC if you wish). Like any huge and complex game there are bugs to be worked out, some graphical anomalies, and a buggy companion path finding algorithm. Aside from the load times of the Xbox version, nothing close to being a deal breaker.
In conclusion, if you like RPGs this is a MUST HAVE game.
What's great about it: Graphics, leveling and character creation, and story line (both the main as well as the side quests)
What's not so great: Can be a little buggy and slow load times on the Xbox
