The rugged, open land of North Africa has definitely put your sniping skills to the test since you've been here. You've trekked across treacherous mountain ranges, sought cover in sprawling, easily visible flatlands and discreetly made your way through bustling cities and secluded villages. You've been following your target for days, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. Finally, after a week of relentless pursuit, you spot your target briefly enjoying the evening air on a veranda. Without a moment of hesitation, you align your barrel and squeeze the trigger, eliminating your target with one well-placed, well-timed shot. Your target soundlessly slips to the floor, and just as soundlessly, you make a quick exit.Set during WWII in North Africa, Sniper Elite III lets you play as American OSS agent, Karl Fairburne. Your mission? — provide a helping hand to the Allied forces, drawing from your wealth of sharpshooting knowledge and experience to assist them in whatever way possible. After uncovering a secret tank program that could swiftly destroy any Allied force if it comes to fruition, you must use all of your sniping intelligence and skills to take out the enemy — shot by shot. Roam the varied North African battlefield on nonlinear routes that offer visual diversity as well as gameplay variation, allowing you to engage enemies in a wide range of open and close-knit environments. Use shadows and the darkness of night to remain unseen by the Afrika Korps for optimal stealth. Plan relocation tactics that suit your mission's particular needs as well as your own unique sniping style by searching the landscape and discovering nests, ambush locations and more. Lie in wait for the Afrika Korps' vehicles and then unleash havoc with the vehicle kill-cam, which lets you take out entire vehicular crews and blow up vehicles' gas tanks with just one shot. Unlock more than 40 new customization parts as you progress through the game, so you can build a high-tech rifle, improve your character and more. Intelligently decide how to deal with both long-range and short-range combat missions based on detailed feedback. Engage in either co-op or competitive multiplayer modes, which allow you to work together or fight against your friends. Make sure your breath is shallow and your fingers steady before you squeeze the trigger in Sniper Elite III: Afrika.

Fun to Snipe

Got this on release and its been a blast to play up until the glitches started. The game took a long time to install for 100%. Had a first day patch like most games do now. Got the Hunt the Grey Wolf dlc and weapon pack from preordering it which was good. Only problem was after downloading the dlc the next time I started the game it had a pop up screen saying the game has downloaded new content and highlighted the Hunt dlc and the weapon packs everytime. One month later the game still says this everytime I load it.
The AI is not that great and sometimes they spot you easily and other times they don't see you at all. I have fell through the map a few times and died and you fail the mission and have to reload the previous save so its best to save often.
The rifle is the most accurate gun in the game and it seems like machine gun accuracy was made to be harder to use and its aiming and kill rate is not as effective. The running and moving of the character is clunky and kinda reminds me of the way Laura Croft moved in the last Tomb Raider game for the One.
I have had to uninstall the game a couple of times due to it going to a black screen when loading the game no matter which save game or date I chose to load. After re-installing it, the game worked fine but was a pain to have to do this. One time it caused the One to shut off and restart only after a few minutes of play.
Most fun part is the kill cam on it as it never gets old to watch the slow mo or your perfect sniper shots. Also has where some of the achievements are not unlocking.
Fun game but frustrating with the glitches.

What's great about it: Graphics and kill cam
What's not so great: Glitches, install time

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Tablet: The new Surface Pro 3 is in a category of its own. With a stunning 12" display in a sleek magnesium frame, Surface Pro 3 has all the power and performance of a laptop in an incredibly lightweight, versatile form. It may just be the ultimate device.

Best Tablet
on August 2, 2014

Was looking for a tablet to replace my galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition. Had the note for about 7 months and it was starting to get slow, lock up and battery life was degrading. I looked at several options of the different tablets offered and thought the surface pro 3 was the best for what I was going to use it for. I wanted a tablet but checked out laptops also due to the price. I looked at the ultra books also and for me the touch tablet was best suited for my needs. The price is the biggest con as I could basically get a new desktop and laptop for what I paid for the surface.
I didn't care for the ultra books because of the keyboard attached to most of them and when your flip them to be touch only you still have the keyboard on the bottom which could eventually get messed up. Most laptops are bulky and heavy so I decided on the surface.
I didn't buy the keyboard as it was not need for me and the touch keyboard has been great.
I bought a slim cover for it which will protect the back from scratches and the touch screen when closed and can be used to prop the surface up to view instead of using the kick stand. I felt it needed a cover since its so expensive and the back could get scratched easily by laying it down. The kickstand will hold the surface up fine but I felt it was kinda fragile and wasn't sure how far I could open it. I was afraid repeated use might break it.
The top back does get warm occasionally from heavy tasks but the fan kicks in and cools it down quickly. You can hear the fan but its noise is not bad. It does come with some apps preloaded but those were easily uninstalled and now has no bloat ware on it.
I like the full windows on it and can install anything you like just like a desktop. It did have a firmware update and others for around 300mbs when I ran windows update. The surface has been stable for me and starts super fast due to the ssd.
I know some people think it should come with a keyboard for the price but the touch keyboard is fast. I even tried a wired keyboard and mouse with it and it worked great. The Bluetooth mouse I have also works fine.
I tried out the i3, i5 and i7 and felt for the money the 256gb i7 was the better option for me. The i7 felt faster and more responsive than the i3 and i5 due to better specs such as faster processor, more memory and a little faster graphics card but the 512gb I felt was to much money for just more storage and no increase in specs.
It is very expensive and you could get a new laptop and desktop for the same price so my advice would be try them all out in the store and see which is better suited for your needs. I rarely use my desktop anymore due to the tablets but went for the windows version instead of the android as windows gave me more usability.
You can fully customize the surface programs and startups just like a desktop or laptop.

What's great about it: Fast! Full Windows program compatibility. Min bloatware!
What's not so great: Price and kick stand feels cheap.
I would recommend this to a friend!
