Up front I liked this phone. This comes with the latest version of Android, which itself is a key feature that sets this phone apart from most, especially pre-paid phones. Let's look at the pros and cons....
Pros - nice clear display with ample brightness when needed. Battery life is the longest I've ever seen on an Android phone - not unusual to get 2 days on a charge. General performance is just fine out of the box.
Cons - Memory is very limited, with just a few added apps, I am nearly out of internal space and the Marshmallow option of using the memory card for "internal memory" isn't reliable at this point. So at a minimum of added apps, I am already out of space and performance is slowing way down. Sure, I can have plenty of space for music / photos but what good are they when the apps are crippled. Also Cricket is a serious shortcoming. Many calls never come through and some text messages (isolated by sender, not random) simply never arrive. Turns out this is a common problem with Cricket that ATT users (who Cricket uses) aren't having. I plan in switching away as soon as my prepaid time is expiring.
Overall - Nice basic phone with a large display and unusually good battery life. Limited memory is an issue. Cricket is definitely an issue due to calls and text messages that mysteriously do not come through regardless of signal, which is fine.

Let' face it, prepaid phones just don't seem to be as good as the contract phones and I can truly speak from my own experience here. I bought this when I had another Motorola fail in a very short time - yet out of the Verizon warranty period. While this was an "emergency replacement" phone, actually it's been pretty good overall. Call quality and performance is excellent. WiFi and 4G connectivity have been trouble free. The screen is nice, not the best, but better than the similar priced Motorolas by a long shot.. and I keep the brightness lowered to extend battery life.
The music player works reasonably well with decent fidelity through several headphones I have used. Overall performance is responsive, but for phones I am not a "power user" and keep the apps down... yet the memory is enough at this point for the apps I use.
The camera is respectable - most important is that auto focus actually DOES work well. I do a lot of photography and have both a DSLR and Point and shoot camera, but in a pinch this does the job. Note this does have a flash and a basic selfie / conference camera that is good enough and that's it.
Only shortcoming vs. other phones I've had. Battery life c an be quirky and I haven't figured out why. I have found that cleaning the contacts on the battery and phone does help. Overall battery life is quite good - then out of the blue it becomes a power hog. Not sure why, and not holding this against the phone.
I would like to see auto display dimming, a nice feature often found at the price point and lacking on this phone. However at least it does have a mutli-color alert LED to let you know you've got mail / messages / missed a call and charge status at a glance.
Enjoy clear, crisp audio with these Skullcandy Aviator S6AVFM-161 over-the-ear headphones that feature Rex Driver technology to deliver smooth sound and powerful bass.
I've owned 2 pair of the Skullcandy Aviator. Why 2? I sold the first pair and absolutely regretted it. These are not the Skullcandy of long ago nor are they a "fashion accessory" - these really are a good quality headphone. Many people may be turned off by their apparent lack of bass, but in reality - these don't lack bass at all, they are a true, accurate headphone that does not give a false boost to the bass. They sound excellent on a home stereo system with clear, clean midrange and airy highs, and when it's there - these do have bass. Those who don't like these headphones, really are hearing the shortcomings of the source come through.
Overall I strongly recommend them. Don't let the brand turn you away - Skullcandy has clearly upped their game. These are super comfortable, very accurate and a pleasure to listen to.
