Pro quality images in a consumer quality package

In the world of Nikon wide angle lenses, this and the venerated 12-24 are the top contenders. I decided on this one mainly because I use filters for landscape photography. Very pleased with the performance. VR is an added bonus that I don't use much. What I don't like about it is the plastic feel compared to the more solid 12-24. On the other hand it makes the lens lighter. Not a big deal and the only imperfection I can think of. Its a great value lens for the money. I use this with a D600.
What's great about it: Accepts filters, Incredibly sharp high contrast glass, VR, constant f/4
What's not so great: Plastic body keeps it affordable but seems a little delicate
I would recommend this to a friend!
