I bought them both from Best Buy, brand new. The first one I had to reset completely from when I turned it on because the installation was acting funky (keyboard and language wasn't showing correctly) and, then once I got it through the computer was being extremely slow and glitchy. It also made a very loud buzzing noise coming from the back of the case...
So I went to exchange it, and it seemed better, until the next day when everything started screwing up. My mouse pointer speed was moving extremely fast and slow at different times, and the computer was slower than my old, basic desktop. And then, the WiFi connectivity randomly cut out after a restart. Not even recognizing any WiFi network around me.
This is really unacceptable. I'm not sure what happened here...

Buggy, bad screen, and badly designed

Right out of the box it's lagging and slow. The colors on the screen are dull, and the two touch buttons on the bottom are completely useless at night because you cannot see them...

Do not purchase unless you want a CHEAP product
on August 3, 2016

There is just too many bad things to say about this. The rubber feet on the keyboard are not positioned correctly and do not do their job, the keys on the keyboard are annoyingly high and hurt when typing fast as the edges of the keys catch your fingers, the mouse is obnoxiously loud and has no grip anywhere whatsoever. I would stay away unless you are simply looking for the cheapest option possible that types and clicks.

Late keyboard input and just feels cheap
on July 29, 2016

What happened Logitech? This is not the product I'm used to. I keep getting late input to my key presses and it's such a hassle to have to return this. The keyboard also feels a lot cheaper than I'm used to and the button presses are clunky and unsatisfying. Stay away

Piece of junk, terrible design

These have a huge control piece that hangs down on your left side, so if you're working out and jump around or bend over, it will get in your way.

The problem with this phone mount is that if you want to use someone else's device it just won't work if they don't have the magnet installed. If your using it just for yourself then it does a great job and frees up clutter, but I would give this a low rating because of this problem.

I don't see the reason for the immense positive reviews. The screen is barely bright even on the highest setting, and on top of this the touchpad buttons are extremely clicky and obnoxious to press. Really Asus?

Terrible - did not expect this at all
on May 3, 2016
Posted by: Bm96
- The build quality is bad. The keypad buttons make VERY loud, clanky sounds when clicked, and the right and left are majorly different than one another. It also changes depending on where you click the button.... seriously HP? The screen/top part of the laptop feels like it's going to break off every time I open it up, and it does not close/open smoothly at all.
- The touch-pad doesn't work well, has a bad feel, and is short.
- Laptop is heavy, and slippery
- There is no lights for the keyboard. Using this in bed or in the dark is horrible.
- Battery life is not good
- The highest setting for screen brightness is not good
In terms of what a laptop should be - portable and durable - I do not see myself sustaining this junk, and it will be returned. I would also advise anyone who is looking to use this in public to not do so, as the clanky buttons are an extreme nuisance. Stay away.

Terrible - Do NOT Purchase
on April 28, 2016

This laptop is horrifically slow and buggy when doing anything. I bought this purposely for doing very basic tasks like browsing the internet or at the most playing a movie through my TV. I wish I read other reviews before purchasing. Stay far away.
