Kettle the best thing since sliced bread. But!

I really, really liked this kettle it made warming water for tea so easy for me. I could walk away and if I got busy it didn't matter because I didn't boil away all the water and burn the pot. This was so great for me that I bought two of them, one for my vacation home.
However! This kettle only lasted 2 months at my vacation home and then it quit. I hope the other one lasts longer when I return. Maybe this was just a defective one but I see one other review saying the same. Such a good appliance but....
What's great about it: Programmable and I can walk away without worry of burning the pan or kettle
What's not so great: Only lasted 2 months and quit
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
