This cordless phone is absolutely a phone. I got home phone service with my cable bundle, so I figured I should probably purchase a phone to use said service.
This phone works and makes and receives calls. In your home. I got it to work in my yard, too. Reception is clear for at least 50-100 feet, through a half dozen or so walls.
At this point, I think it's kinda strange to have a house phone, having gone years without anything but internet service and a cell phone, but I don't regret picking up this phone. It's oddly nostalgic.
Anyway, it works. Don't be afraid to buy it.

I just purchased a third Apple TV. These relatively inexpensive devices work flawlessly and set up easily. I was surprised that my library contained titles that my kids had put on their iPods years ago. Digital Copy movies are accessible on all linked Apple ID accounts and devices. No messy set up like UltraViolet. No waiting for buggy apps like Flixster. As usual, the Apple stuff simply works--simply. I use it to rent movies. The streaming works wonderfully, even with the TV in my house that is a ways from the WiFi source. You can also stream mostly anything from your iPhone or iPad to the Apple TV device through AirPlay. Think---pictures, home movies, YouTube, even presentations through Keynote (Apple's PowerPoint equivalent). Finally, I trust that Apple will be around to maintain my Digital Copy collection longer than the alternatives.

This is a great box set for the first seven films.
The first Nightmare Film is the same as the Bluray single. This is great because it's the best transfer of the film that's ever been made. It also has the special features from the Infinifilm DVD Edition, which was the best collection of special features for the first Nightmare Film. The first film also has a 7.1 surround track; whereas the other films have a 5.1.
There are only two downsides to this set.
1: No 3D Ending for Freddy's Dead. The original DVD Box from the 1990's had the option of watching the ending in 2D or 3D (with glasses included.) This box only has the 2D version. Not sure why the Friday the 13Th Box gets Part 3 in 3D with glasses and Elm Street got left off the bus for this one. But, it is what it is.
2: You're also missing the bonus DVD from the original 1990's Box. This DVD is worth getting if you can find someone selling it online on its own. It has some special features that are a little out of date, like a quiz game that offered a prize that is now expired. It would have been nice if they would have re-tooled the disc; but it is what it is. Honestly, though, it's not a super must have as they have migrated the relevant features from that disc to each film's special feature section. So, you still get the featurettes and music videos that were on that DVD. But, the DVD was special as it hid those features as things to find on a 'up, down, left, right, enter' screen labyrinth (with I think puzzles) that clearly took a lot of work to make and was very fun to play through. That all being said, you're not missing any content (as far as I can tell) by not having the old DVD disc.
The important thing here is the movies; and they are all looking and sounding the best they ever have. They all blow away the DVD releases in the past.

Ok, I read about these in a fitness magazine and thought what the hell, lets try them. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and the weather and climate here can be rough. I used these headphones almost everyday, they were comfortable and the sound quality wasn't bad, but I did not think they were worth $50.00, because you can buy other brands that will last longer for half the price. The red ear pieces that come in 2 sizes wear out very quickly and start to fall off while in use, and they started to fall apart altogether, which was very annoying. So do yourself a favor and go with less expensive earbuds. I may need more rugged earbuds, but hey their web site was raving about how triathletes use these things and they are great etc.... But with kettle-bell and cross-fit workouts I hardly think they should fall apart so easily. I hope this helps anyone. -Out

- The story was engaging, exciting, and had plenty of edge of your seat moments.
- The way it wove the new story together using prior movie and TV themes to build on was kind of genius. Those who know Star Trek will enjoy that.
- It had humor with a few good laughs and chuckles, but it also brought tears to my eyes.
- I loved the way they developed the relationships between the main characters, especially between Spock and Kirk. I very much disagree with the poster who said there wasn't enough character development. I felt it was quite the opposite.
- There were surprises. Especially one big one, which I won't reveal. I enjoyed that this movie wasn't predictable.
- The casting was spot on. It's so believable that these are the young versions of Spock, Kirk, etc.
- The acting was superb.
What else can you want!
I saw it at an IMAX 3-D theater, and I'd highly recommend that. The 3-D was phenomenal on this huge screen. There were moments when I could imagine I was in space.
I think that Star Trek fans, as well as those who are new to Star Trek, will enjoy the movie. You really don't have to know Star Trek history to enjoy this movie, but if you are familiar, you'll get a lot more out of it.
So Star Trek fans shouldn't miss this new addition. I also recommend this movie to all scifi and action fans. I'll be purchasing this movie when it becomes available, and I'm sure I'll watch it many times.
