Disappointed - Does not conserve water.

I bought this washer because I wanted to conserve water. I was really excited about the "green" aspects this unit claims to offer. I washed several loads of clothes without issue. When I washed a blanket and a duvet together, I noticed the spin cycle kept running. Every time I would check on the wash, the remaining time kept reading 19 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes. I finally shut the washer off. Apparently the wash was unbalanced - though I did not get an error message and the machine did not turn off. This washer continued to add a full drum of water, shift the wash, and drain in attempts to balance the load. This happened countless times before I realized what was happening. This process just wasted a massive amount of water. I called Customer Service, not knowing what the issue was - they were no help - they were just reading from a manual and the smart diagnostic dept. was closed. What's the point of "smart technology" when no one is available to assist? I ended up removing the duvet and the cycle finished but what a huge waste of time, energy, and water! I don't know who the genius was that decided auto fill was a brilliant idea for a "water smart" washer. The unit should provide the error message and shut off. Don't plan on leaving the house if you buy this washer as you will need to constantly monitor it.
