Scan paper, plastic cards, business cards, receipts and photos with this Xerox XMobile sheetfed mobile scanner and easily transfer them wirelessly to your PC, Mac, Android, Apple® iPhone®, iPad® or the cloud.
Okay, for the love of God and the sake of your own sanity, follow these caveats when setting up your scanner. (Note: I set my up to work with Mac OS Mavericks and iOS 7)
1) To use it wirelessly, you need to have an Eye-Fi account...which you can't do unless you download the Eye-Fi Center software on your computer. This is an absolute must. The first hour I spent trying to set up an account through the Eye-Fi app, through Xerox' DocToMe app, online, etc.
Once you get that, you MUST connect your scanner via USB directly to your computer. Connecting it to your keyboard or through a hub will not work. The computer will not be able to recognize the card.
Once you've done that, you can create a new account, and just follow the steps it presents to you.
2) Now here's where things get murky. For some reason, for me, the Eye-Fi app just plain didn't work. It was convinced that my iPhone was out of storage space (which it is not), and was otherwise confusing once I got everything set up.
Instead, get Xerox' DocToMe app, which seems to be designed specifically for this scanner (rather than any other product that accepts Eye-Fi cards). Using this app, everything is a breeze. You can see your saved scans, delete old ones, and email them to yourself to use elsewhere.
Really, once you get through the installation gauntlet (which 1) is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, and 2) hopefully will be much less cumbersome for you), the scanner is fantastic! The scans are at 300dpi, it's got a nice balanced weight and feels sturdy, has a good "grip" on the paper, and is an all-around great product. I look forward to using it for many, many years.

What's great about it: Use anywhere, has its own battery
What's not so great: Ridiculously difficult to set up
Nikon D5100 DSLR Camera with 18–55mm VR Lens: Easy to carry and easy to use — the Nikon 5100 offers you the versatility to create vibrant photographs and videos. Weighing slightly more than 16 oz., this camera fits easily in a larger purse or bag without weighing you down. When used in auto mode, the 11-point autofocus ensures clear pictures, while the fully manual mode allows complete control of exposure. With 16.2 megapixels, photo enlargements pop with detail and clarity. This package includes a Vibration Reduction lens.
This camera has been really great for me, and though I've flirted with "upgrading" to other cameras, I find it to be pretty perfect for my interests. The battery life is great, the build quality is good, and it is packed full of features, which can take a looong time to learn, but is otherwise quite user-friendly.
I consider it's attributes to be about standard for its price compared to competitors, and to get better quality, you're talking about spending 4x or 6x as much on a D600/610 or D800. Of course with those, you get more robust capabilities and full frame sensor, but you lose little conveniences like a flip-out screen, which can be great when you want to take a from-above or overhead photo and can't look through the viewfinder.
For me, this camera has been wonderful, and in the future, I plan to stick to this line in lieu of others.
p.s. I ditched the kit lens to upgrade to for versatile and "powerful" lenses, but I understand that the 18-55mm that it comes with is pretty good, and should suffice for casual users

What's not so great: Limited dynamic range, not great for making films, crop sensor

I love this lens to death, and will miss it (as I'm switching over to a fast zoom, Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8). But while I had it, it has been phenomenal. Shots with it are always very sharp, and because of the nice wide maximum aperture, it's great for shooting in low light and getting that lustrous bokeh that everyone loves.
As a prime lens, and especially on a crop body, this lens might be troublesome for casual photographers, as you've really got to have the right moment to use it. It's much too long for indoor photography (unless shooting pets), and not long enough to shoot really distant subjects. That being said, for anyone serious about photography as a profession or a hobby, a lens of this length is a must have, and there aren't too many better than this one.

What's great about it: Fast glass, very sharp, and very quick autofocus

I did quite a lot of research on what my "main" lens for my Nikon D5100 would be. I already had the Tamron 70-300mm lens with image stabilization. This fills the bill nicely. It is well balanced on the D5100 body. Zoom from 16 to 85mm is 1/4 turn (which makes getting shots easy). Image quality has been very good, a definite step up over the 18-55 kit lens I bought the camera with. It has VR, ED Glass, and a metal camera mount. I think the durability will be good, but have not had the lens long enough to say for sure. The lens is pricy compared with other non-pro zooms that Nikon offers, but I think it is a good value.
