The design does seem pretty pretentious. If it were more basic, the set would probably have a smaller footprint. It definitely juts out forward more than it should. However, this is still a premium product that works very well and runs very efficiently.

Maybe I'm naive but I can't really tell the difference between battery brands. With how efficient our electronics are these days, all batteries seem to keep our devices going. I bought these batteries at a steal and I couldn't be happier.

If you use a lot of air conditioning

I live in the middle of a desert. It gets really hot really often. I basically have the a/c on all the time when I'm at home. I love the nest for being able to save me money. I don't have to think about turning off the thermostat every time I leave the house and the Airwave feature is an amazing money saver. I just wish it were more affordable. Even at $200, it seem steep for a thermostat.

I hated the locations of my switches in my new home. I'm so glad I have this affordable Hue dimmer to easily replace my switches. I figure I've saved money by not needing an electrician to add new switches.

I never thought I'd be a believer in Philips Hue. Over a hundred dollars for lights sounded like a joke. Now that I've moved to a new home without built in lighting and light switches in all the wrong places, I've discovered the value of Philips Hue. With a few lights in a couple rooms and some Taps and Dimmers in a couple spots next to my Amazon Echo, home has never felt more comfortable. I probably wouldn't replace all of my lights but I appreciate the few locations I have a couple bulbs set up.

Can't think of anything to use your gift card money on? All the major stores offer Steam Wallet and you can never have too much of that. Stock up on steam cash in preparation of those big sales. They never last long so it's good to be prepared.

I've burned through a lot of smart watches and fitness bands in the past few years that they've gained in popularity. None of them lasted me more than a month before I got bored with them. The Apple Watch has now stayed on my wrist since it's release half a year ago and I have no intention of replacing it with anything but another Apple Watch. It's not indispensable but it is convenient. I love being able to read and respond to notifications on my wrist and it's well built enough to just enjoy wearing whether or not I use it for anything more than the time.

I bought this echo when it was first released and I just couldn't swallow the cost. It's a cool speaker that allowed hands free operation but $100 was just too much money. Since then, the discounts have been much more meager but it's become so useful. I've smartened up my home and controlling my lights, entertainment system and security system has been amazing.

What's the difference between the Amazon echo and the Amazon tap does the tap do the same as the echo
The tap makes you physically touch it to activate Alexa but it can run on batteries and be carried around. The echo is much more useful since you don't need to be next to it or use your hands at all. You need wifi to use Alexa features.
