Amid the post-war boom of Hollywood's Golden Age, newly minted detective Cole Phelps is thrown headfirst into a city drowning in violence and corruption. Utilizing groundbreaking new technology that captures an actor's facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire is a violent crime thriller that blends breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience. Interrogate witnesses, search for clues and chase down suspects as you struggle to find the truth in a city where everyone has something to hide.Against an overarching plot of violence and betrayal, L.A. Noire challenges players to solve a series of self-contained cases as they work their way through the ranks of the LAPD. Each case features a distinct storyline with a beginning, middle and end, and each successfully solved case brings new challenges and leads Cole closer to the true story at the dark heart of the Los Angeles criminal underworld.

Fun, Unique Game

I wasn't completely sure what to think about the game before I purchased it, but after playing through it (twice), it is an extremely enjoyable game.
One thing I would like to start off with:
-Just because it is published by Rockstar does not mean it is a 1940s version of GTA. Outside of the movements and open world gameplay, it could not be further from GTA. There is not nearly as much action and probably appeals to a completely different crowd.
You are an ex-Marine, named Cole Phelps, who works his way up through the LAPD. The main story is of the cases you solve and how you work your way up the ranks, but there are also several back stories that add to the game's overall storyline. There are a variety of cases to solve, ranging from murders, to drugs, to arson. The good majority of the game is not action based, but searching for clues, interviewing people, and driving around. Team Bondi does a good job of adding in some action with most of the cases though, whether it be chasing down a fleeing supsect or a gun fight. Interviewing suspects is not always easy, especially if you lack evidence for accusations. Reading the faces and actions of persons of interest can be more of a focus than what they actually say.
Positives:
-LA Noire has very good graphics. The new facial technology Team Bondi created and the several years of development definitely shows throughout the game.
-The story is well thought out and very deep with its back-stories and numerous characters.
-The length of the game is outstanding, especially since there is not a lot of replay-ability. It took me around 28 hours of gameplay to finish the story and probably half of the side missions. I have finished the game to 100% and played through the story and DLC roughly twice each and am up to 40+ hours.
-It is a challenging game, never really too easy or too hard, which is good since there is not a difficulty adjustment.
Negatives:
-Not a lot of replay-ability. Once you play through the cases twice and figure everything out you may have missed the first time, there is not a lot to get you to keep playing. However, trying to get all of the trophies will help get the most out of the game as well as DLC that will continue to be released (at an extra cost though).
-At times it can seem repetitive when looking for clues or interviewing, but as I said before, Team Bondi did a good job mixing in action at appropriate times.
Overall this is one of the best games I have played in recent years. The positive aspects completely outweigh the negatives. It is another great game that is published by Rockstar, even though it is vastly different from what they are known for like GTA and RDR. There is a good mix of crime solving/interviewing and gun fights/action. The long and interesting story is well worth at least one play-through.
What's great about it: Story, graphics, length, uniqueness
What's not so great: Somewhat repetitive, not much replay-ability, won't appeal to everyone
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this to replace an old GE one. It was easy to install and fits great. Nice to have a CD player, MP3 input, and remote control. The only thing I don't like about it is one station doesn't come in very well, but its great otherwise.
What's great about it: Easy installation, great quality, MP3 input
What's not so great: Far radio stations don't come in the best
I would recommend this to a friend!
