As I am very hard of hearing I could not hear the regular alarm clocks. This one I definatley hear and it is not too loud for me. Other people in the house may not like it. The vibrater does not really do anything.
What's great about it: I can actually hear this alarm
What's not so great: The large bright light bothers me.
I would recommend this to a friend!
