A Little Noisy

An okay warm mist humidifier for the price, I suppose. I used Honeywell warm mist humidifiers for 3 years but switched to Crane because I've used and like the Crane Teardrop Cool Mist humidifier for 4 years. So far (only 3 weeks in) the operation is smooth and dependable and there seems to be minimal scale build-up, using only tap water, no filter, and cleaning weekly with vinegar. A full tank lasts me about 22 hours on the 'low' setting. However, the unit's a lot noisier than the Honeywell, emitting a constant groaning hiss as it reaches temperature, punctuated with a loud 'glug' every so often. It's not obtrusively loud - I can sleep with it on - but it has the potential of becoming annoying, like a dripping faucet.

Perfect for My Limited Needs

Internet Connectable?Yes
I was searching for a low-priced, 1080p big-screen for use as an oversized computer monitor and this Insignia is perfect. With an HDMI cable, I was able to hook it up directly to my computer (I installed a high definition graphics card with an HDMI output option). There was no loss of picture quality from my old 25" monitor, and an added bonus was that HDMI carries audio. The sound quality is sufficient, and anytime I can get rid of external cables on my computer system is good! The only knock on it is the remote just seems to be the wrong ergonomic shape; the on/off button is at the top-left, too close to the edge for good balance. I keep fumbling the remote, but that might be my own clumsiness.
What's great about it: Good price; Easy Set-up; Multi-Features
What's not so great: More Features Than I Need

The Best

This is quite simply the best toothbrush I have ever owned. I was going to purchase a Sonicaire about 7 years ago, but on the advise of my dental hygienist bought a Braun/Oral B instead, because with its high-speed circular motion and small, round brush (she said) it surrounded and thoroughly cleaned each tooth. At that time I bought the more expensive dual-speed model (there are 4 different models, the 1000 through the 4000, with the 4000 being the variable speed top-of-the-line). My first Braun lasted almost 7 years before giving out, and I brush 3 times a day. Although this 1000 is a simpler model (I only need one speed), Braun has actually made some minor ergonomic improvements since 2006, which make a great product excellent. I recall from 7 years back that there was a few days of discomfort when I brushed (it is a high-speed, dental quality brushing), but that discomfort rapidly disappeared and now it is almost a pleasure to brush my teeth.
What's great about it: Easy Set-Up; Easy to use; Extremely Long-Lasting; Great Value

All Right, but not Great

I use it for:Document printing
I owned an HP Printer for years but it was not wireless capable and began to have some technical difficulties. I determined to try another brand and lit upon a Canon as it was moderately priced and wireless equipped. To my chagrin I discovered that it not only has 5 ink "tanks" or cartridges, but positively slurps the ink, even when set on "draft" mode. The printer also seems to take a lot of time "thinking" about what it's going to do - you can hear the rollers and ink jets humming as if printing, but sometimes have to wait for one simple page to be printed. The print quality is good, though, and once it gets started printing goes fairly rapidly.
What's great about it: Easy Set Up; Good Price; Good Print Quality; Wireless Ready
What's not so great: Uses Ink at an Alarming Rate; Takes Too Long to Generate a Print
