Having the whole first seaon allowed me to watch everything in order. There are details given in each episode that is relevant later. It makes it so much more enjoyable if you know the whole story.
What's great about it: Everything. Acting, writing, plot. It keeps you wanting more.
What's not so great: Waiting for the next episode.
I would recommend this to a friend!
