We purchsed this unit and installed it last August. Whenever the largest burner or the combination of at least 2 small burners were on high, the unit will shut off by itself without tripping the circuit breaker. The phenomenon takes from 3-7 min to occur. We tried name brand cookware. It didn't work. Imagine that you have to start the burner every 3-7 min when you are cooking!! We have called technician from Best Buy and GE. So far, we've had four appointments. The technicians from both best buy and GE have replaced the control unit and the glass top. Nothing worked. No error code is given. We paid out of pocket and hired a electrician to make sure that our wires can handle the large power output. It is a faulty unit. When I call GE and asked if other consumers have the same issue, the rep declined that he knew any data about it. I would stay away from this cooktop if you decide to buy induction.
