Poor quality with no real resolution so far

After owning a Kitchenaid ice maker for many years with great success, I decided to purchase the Whirlpool 15" Gold machine since it was on sale and the reviews were positive. From the very beginning it produced very thin ice, similar to small bathroom tiles. I tried to return the machine and wanted to buy the more expensive Kitchenaid again. I was told NO by Best Buy because I was 3 days too late to return. Have had 5 visits from Geek Squad with multiple parts and repairs done. It still produces very thin 1/4 inch X 3/4 inch ice that melts as soon as it goes into a glass. Still hoping for a resolution from Whirlpool or Best But. But as of now I would NOT recommend this ice machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
