I say this album changed my mind because i had this band filed away under "just another metalcore band." This album made me eat those words because it is a fantastic album and more of a melodic thrash approach. I am not a metalcore fan but i am now proud to say, I am an AILD fan.
Now on to the Deluxe vs. Standard album argument. As i stated the digipack is a bit thin and needs to be carefully handled. The DVD is just over 16 minutes long but it gets the job done (probably wouldn't be difficult to find on YouTube). The bonus tracks are pretty good and the extended liner notes and pictures are very interesting as well.
Overall, if your just getting this album to have it, i'd say stick to the standard version. But from a collectors standpoint, I do feel that in the end it does warrant the extra 5 bucks.
What's great about it: Great Album w/ Bonuses
What's not so great: Flimsy Case and Rather Short DVD
