It's an SD card ... the fastest one available

I use it with:DSLR camera
For SD equipped DSLRs, this is the card to get if you find yourself hitting the limit of your buffer too often. Currently, it's the fastest SD card available for UHS-I cameras: virtually all Nikons made in the last three years, and a few Canons.
I'd skip this card for a P&S, and go with something cheaper. Not that it won't work, it'll work very well, but they don't include the circuitry to feed this card data at its max speed - the standard Extreme work fine with those.
Do be aware that if you really hit this card hard, it will heat up, so if you fill it in 30 minutes, don't be surprised when you pull it out to swap it.

Sharp, light, great all around

50 mm on a DX body gives you a short portrait lens, and on an FX is considered normal. I've tired all four of the current Nikon optical formulas for 50 mm, and two Sigmas as well, and this one is the best of the bunch for most people.
The aspheric element means that you can shoot it wide open without worrying about coma flare, it's tack sharp, even on the D7100 or Velvia wide open, the front element is deeply recessed, to prevent flare and focus just snaps to where it needs to be, even on the old CAM900 film bodies.
The only reason to jump to another 50 mm lens is the two f/1.4's give you 2/3 of a stop more light, as otherwise the f/1.4G is slower to focus and not as sharp until you stop it down, and when shooting wide open is subject to sagittal coma flare, and the f/1.4D's optical formula is from the 1970's and also needs to be stopped down. Also the older AF-D f/1.8 is cheaper and works on manual focus film cameras, but doesn't AF on the D40, D60, D3x00 or D5x00 bodies.
The only drawback is that this lens uses 58 mm filters and caps, which while standard for Canon, are an oddball size for Nikon, only shared with three other modern lenses (the 50 f/1.4G, 35 f/1.8G and 55-300 DX VR). The 52 mm would have been a better choice as that's been the Nikon small lens standard since 1959. A step-down ring does fix this problem, but it's a nuisance nonetheless.
The fact that I own no fewer than four 50 mm lenses, and this is the one that goes in my bag when I need a 50 mm optic to shoot with, should tell you a lot about its quality.

New standard Mid-DSLR Nikon battery

This is Nikon's new standard battery for a midsized DSLR - packing more power than the smaller EN-EL14 used in the plastic consumer bodies, and less than the larger EN-EL18 used in the D4 or the battery grip for the D800.
It fits the V1, D7000, D7100, D600, D610, D800 and D800E as of this writing. The major difference between this and the EN-EL3, which is the same sized battery for older cameras, is that the EN-EL15 has concealed contacts to prevent shorting and fires, and to comply with new Japanese laws.
Do yourself a favor, and get the genuine Nikon ones: they last through many more charge cycles, and the third party batteries aren't much cheaper when you're talking about something powering your (rather expensive) DSLR.

Sharpest 85 mm lens for the F mount

This is sharp, the sharpest 85 mm lens made for the F mount by anyone, and fast, both in aperture and AF speed. On a DX body, this works wonders for indoor events and tight headshots, and on an FX it's a standard portraiture lens.

This is a sharp, lightweight lens, that takes 52 mm filters (the standard small Nikon since the 1950's#. It's also cheap, the cheapest lens that Nikon makes, so it's a great value. The aperture ring also ensures that it will work with manual focus cameras, such as the FM-10 that Nikon still sells today, so it's great for anybody in the market for that, as well.
However, this won't autofocus on the D40, D60, D3x00 or D5x00 series of cameras as it lacks a focus motor. Also, this dates from the film days and not the high reflectivity digital image sensors, so if you stop it down to about f/2.8 you get horrendous veiling and aperture-shaped reflections from the sensor if you have light sources striking the front element on a digital body. Do yourself a favor: if you get this, also buy the HR-2 hood for it.
The 50 mm f/1.8G #linked) is a newer, much better lens for anybody using digital or new film bodies exclusively, but for the price, it's hard to beat the 50 mm f1.8D, even with its 30+ year old optical formula
I'm scoring it highly, but not recommending it unless you have a manual focus body like the FM-10, instead anybody in the market for a fast 50 on digital should look to the AF-S option, or either of the f/1.4 optics.

Inexpensive telephoto for DX and FX

This lens gets you out to 300 mm in a package that won't break the bank, with VR II to boot. From 70-200 mm it competes with the 70-200 options in sharpness, then weaker out towards 300 mm, but it does get you to 300 mm.
Compared to the 55-300 for DX, the image stabilization is noticeably better, the focus is much faster, and you can just grab the ring to over-ride focus. Plus, it uses a more common filter size for Nikon, and will work on AF film and FX SLRs as well. All for not very much more money.

Best variable aperture mid-zoom for Nikon DX

This and the 17-55 are the two lenses from, even the third parties, that really let the new 24 MP Nikon DX cameras shine. Sharp enough to cut yourself on, excellent VR, a bit of a reach into the wide angle at 16 mm.
It's a lot of weight in a small package, and the front element is a bit exposed, but this is my standard leave on the camera zoom for most shooting situations on my D7100.

The best crop sensor body to date

Having used a D300s, D5100, D5200, D7000 and a 70D and 7D from Canon, this by far is the zippiest, best crop sensor body to date. No AA filter makes the pictures pop that little bit extra, and the 51 point AF system lifted from the D4 acquires focus in any light. The in-body motor is one of the beefiest Nikon has in any body, similar to an F5, so even older AF lenses work perfectly.
The one downside is that the buffer is on the small side, so bursts of RAW files are restricted at 6/7 FPS. If you only use JPG, you'll never, ever run into this with a fast card.
Do be aware, to really take advantage of this body, you need the very best lenses, fastest cards and good shooting discipline - this camera will expose weakness anywhere else if you look to closely. Kit lenses are soft on it, as the sensor out-resolves them.

A tight fit but good for your fast normal

This protects a 35 or 50 mm small fast prime lens and allows it to be carried externally on many LowePro bags or the S&F system, and it does so very well, but it could use to be a touch bigger. The depth is just barely enough to fit the slower f/1.8 35's and 50's, but some other f/1.4 lenses likely wouldn't fit without removing the front and rear caps.

These perform like any other FRS radio for the most part, but they lack the tone squelch capabilities of the higher end models, so the squelch is set a bit too high for my taste. Also, they're made out of cheap plastic, so aren't too durable.
I ended up returning them and going with a waterproof set. The performance was identical, despite costing three times as much. What the more expensive radios bought me was durability and the tone squelch (labeled as sub-chanels for marketing#.
Ignore the complaints of range below, that's just how FRS radios work - ask any FCC licensed operator of the bigger radios #I have my own amateur license).

Bought this to use on a cruise ship. We could not use them at all. If they were more than about 6 feet away from each other they wouldn't work.

All FRS radios have terrible range

As by law, all FRS radios are tested to have exactly the same power output and signal.
Steel and other magnetic metals block radio signals, so no FRS radios will work more than one room away at best on a cruise ship. If you want to be able to talk on a cruise, you'll need about 5W of output, available on commercial or (licensed) amateur sets, but not on basic FRS or GMRS radios.

The range on this thing sucks. I had my wife drive down the road. I could still see the car and she was about 3/10 of a mile away and we lost signal. We are infar north suburban chicago, away from tall buildings and other things that cause interferance. Will be returning next time I go to the store.

FRS Range is always poor.

As by law, all FRS radios are tested to have exactly the same power output and signal.
The ground itself can cause loss of signal, without buildings. The UHF frequencies used by FRS simply don't go far without putting more than the 1/2 watt of power or having more than a 0 dbi gain antenna. I'd expect at best 1/2 a mile on any FRS radio without line of site to the other location.

For the unitiated, this carries two EN-EL14 batteries, the same as used inside of you SLR, in a larger carrier underneath your camera. It also provides a shutter release for shooting in portrait orientation, and an IR remote and sensor for triggering your camera remotely.
This will fit the Nikon D3100, D5100 and D3200, as of this writing, and after doing quite a bit of research and holding several in my hand at local camera shops, this Bower seemed the way to go. It is slimmer than virtually all of the others options, and feels more solid in your hand, closer to the actual camera body. but it offers much improved handling even in landscape orientation, where my pinky finger really gets sore on my D5100's small grip. With larger lenses, this really nicely balances the camera. The bottom is ribbed like the camera itself, and it does include its own tripod lug - although it is offset from the lens and the camera's own lug. The shutter release is good, but not great, and has a bit more play in it than the Nikon's.
Because none of these cameras were designed to be used with a battery grip, it needs a small cable to connect to the camera and enable the vertical shutter release. In this one, the cable is very short - so short it pretty much precludes the use of the GP-1 GPS at all. It also lacks right angle connectors, so I am somewhat concerned about durability of the cable. However, a 2.5 mm TRS extension cable would solve this problem and I do plan on finding and purchasing one. Although I don't own a D3200 body, the cable is so short that I am unsure that it will connect.
All in all, if you want a battery grip and choose to use the entry level Nikon bodies, this is an excellent choice. Small flaws, but overall very much the best in the field.

To answer that:
It's a small stereo plug that goes into the release cable connector on the body. This lets you use the vertical shutter release on the grip. The on/off switch turns that vertical shutter release on or off, to keep you from accidentally hitting it.
As for the lug hole, there's no lug hole on the camera, either, so if you need to keep your camera straight, use one of the Manfrotto architectural plates, which includes a flange just for that purpose. I don't trust the tripod hole on the grip though, it's not in line with the lens and not reinforced, so I stopped using this grip when I switched to a BlackRapid strap #although on my D7100 I use the BR strap with the mag alloy battery grip for that#

I bought this card to attempt to speed up the latency between shots with a point and click Canon SX-150 camera. It is faster than normal cards but not fast enough to justify the 8X expense.

An SX150 can't feed this card's appetite for data

To put it simply, this card's performance runs circles around a basic Canon P&S like an SX150. Anything above the regular Extreme is a waste on the SX150, as it can't use UHS-I speeds - on the SX150, the CPU is so slow that shoot at even 1.5 FPS with focus tracking, let alone the 6 FPS of a D7100 or D610, which move three times the data per image to the card when shooting raw.

Canon T2i supports UHS-1
Do the UHS-1 technology is compatible with the canon t2i that i recently owned? will i be able to benefit from the speed of 95mbps if i use this to my dslr?
No. It'll work, but not at UHS-I speeds.

Yes, but only in DX mode, so probably not worth it. Try the 24-85 VR instead, or the 24-120 VR which provides the same field of view.
