Sick of Buying These!

My wish: To make the thin cord that connects to your laptop twice as thick and more resistant to wear and tear.
This is the third replacement power cord I've had to buy in the past year and a half. I tried to take them to be fixed, but that's even more expensive and I'm told by the technicians that it's nearly impossible.
I find it frustrating that there is only one product on the market that charges a Macbook... and that it breaks down / melts down / mysteriously stops working so easily.
Having to $79.99 plus tax every six months isn't what I consider a mark of good craftsmanship or design. These are for laptops. People have to pack them in bags, take them around town... it shouldn't be made the same as a little thin cord that can sit safely on a desk for years. These cords should be hardier! I travel with my cord in a protected padded bag and still... the light goes out and the power stops flowing.
If there was a better product on the market, I would buy it. But since there isn't any option...
What's great about it: It's the only cord that works to charge my Macbook
What's not so great: Stops working for no reason. Expensive to replace.
I would recommend this to a friend!
