Enhance your home entertainment with this Bowers and Wilkins Panorama 2 PANO2 soundbar system, which features a 50W subwoofer and a 1" metal-dome tweeter to deliver a wide range of frequencies. The included wall bracket enables easy mounting.
For a soundbar, the sound is sweet, I thought it is equivalent to the MartinLogan Vision and better than the Bose Cinemates. Considering there is not a separate subwoofer, I was very pleased with the bass. It is not surround, but I don't think any soundbar really is. It seems like a 3:1 effect.
I ended up returning it after 2 weeks. I had found enough issues with my unit in such a short time that I became concerned, especially for a unit at this price point.
1, Using the Set-Up menu, I set the on/off to auto. The Panorama 2 did automatically turn off when my TV is turned off. It did not automatically turn on when the TV is turned on.
2. The Set-Up has different bass eq settings for table or wall mount. The default is table. I changed it to wall and exited the Set-Up menu. If I turn the unit on the next day, and subsequently go back into setup, it reverted back to table.
3. When switching between HDMI sources, occassionally the video would switch but the audio would not. I had to turn the Panorama 2 off and then on, which would fix the problem.
What's great about it: Nice sound, much better than most soundbars.
What's not so great: Glitches with the Set-Up menu.
