It's not a bluray, so I wasn't expecting that kind of clarity, but the transfer quality is grainy for a standard dvd. Also, about two thirds of the way into the movie, it stops playing after a chapter and takes you back to the disc menu screen. I searched the case for another dvd and couldn't find one, so after reading the dvd cover to see whether or not it was two dvd set (it didn't say), I turned the disc over and inserted it into the player. Viola! The thing is, the back of the dvd is completely blank with no writing or anything to indicate that you have to flip it over. Reminded me of a laser-disc. Anyway, this is a great movie. F. Murray Abraham is brilliant. It only cost $4.99 because if they could have made a cheaper copy, they would have.
