No, your Asus is your wireless connection.... it is what looks for router signal and then hooks (taps) you into it. You just need to know your SSID (your ID number) and WPA KEY number (numbers used like a pad lock so no one else can use your connection). All these items are what your internet company has and should give to you upon hooking you into there system. If you don't know them, you will have to call them and request them. The Asus will ask you for this information.
