Protect your iPhone 7 with this Tech21 Evo wallet case. Its FlexShock material provides impact protection, and it has microfiber lining and a flip-over screen cover for extra defense. Tuck a credit card into the card slot of this Tech21 Evo wallet case to keep it hidden from view but handy when you need it.

Good Wallet Case

I've tried a couple of other wallet style cases for my iPhone 7, but the tech21 worked out to be the best for me so far. The case is fairly thin considering the 9+ foot drop rating and the wallet slots for two cards. I like the microfiber lining on the card flap, which keeps a nice soft surface against the screen when closed. One thing that was surprising to me is the extra card flap is magnetized along the top and bottom so it stays stuck against the protective cover when opening and closing the case. A nice touch which keeps it out of the way when getting to the phone, and also provides a little added security in keeping the card slots closed together when opening the case.
I read another review about the power button not working correctly before I purchased this case and was nervous; however, I have been using the case for a couple of weeks and have not experienced any problem with the buttons or the case clasp. The volume and power buttons work fine and all of the cutouts for the phone are where they should be. I have a non-fruit company charging cable which has a larger lighting connector and it works fine with this case as well. My only critique would be the silence switch. The profile of the switch is small and I have large hands. Given the depth of the bumper on the case, I have to use my pinky nail to flip the switch comfortably. Not a deal breaker for me, but it could be annoying to some.
If you are like me, coming from a tech21 wallet case for the iPhone 6/6s, you'll notice the built-in phone stand is gone in this model. The front cover on the older model hinged closer to the middle of the back of the phone, which allowed the front flap to act like a stand when needed. Not a big loss for me, but again something you wouldn't know unless you handled the case.
Note that the cover is detachable! The case comes with a “blank insert” that you can use to remove the front cover and convert the case to a more conventional style. I'm surprised how sturdy the plastic clasps are holding the front flap onto the case body; however, I'm not sure it would hold if I grabbed the cover to catch a falling phone. Not that this compromises the body of the case, it would continue to do fine with a side or back impact, I'm just not sure how strong the plastic is holding this together.
While this case and technology has not allowed me to completely ditch my regular wallet for all occasions, I'm pretty happy with the purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!
