Awesome Sound With ANC!

With so many entries into the true wireless bluetooth earbud market, it can be hard to pick a decent pair. If you are in the market, look no further than the JLab! This pair of earbuds comes jam packed with so many features! First of all, the charging case is sleek and robust! It has an excellent build quality that feels absolutely premium in your hands. The headset has an advertised up to 56 hours of playtime between the earbuds and the charging case. The case can be charged via USB C or via wireless charger! The earbuds sound excellent! They have active noise cancellation that can be tailored to your specific needs via the downloadable smartphone app. The drivers are advertised as hybrid dual drivers. All you need to know is, the sound is impressive! These earbuds can also connect to more than one device at one time! My one complaint about these, which is minor, is that they can sometimes be hard to remove from the case. If you have larger fingers the more slick texture of the earbuds may not allow your fingers to easily grip the earbuds to remove them from the charging case. This in no way detracts from the sound quality of the earbuds, but i felt it should be mentioned. Over all, these earbuds are impressive and the sound quality will wow your ears!

This is the first customizable controller that I have ever owned for any game system, I and have had quite a few game systems over the years! I must say that, if you have never dealt with one that has so many options, it is a bit overwhelming. Straight out of the box, you know this controller is not OEM! It comes with so many extra items to make the controller more to your liking than the standard controller. First of all, there are several more buttons, specifically on the bottom of the controller. This does take some getting used to. To really utilize the buttons, you have to download software on a computer and connect the controller to it. This allows you to map the specific action you want for those buttons. You can also save several profiles to the controller and swap between them based upon the game you are playing. The triggers on the controller are also customizable. If you do not like a longer trigger pull, you can slide a switch and shorten the pull. I like the lights on the controller. It gives it a cool look! It is also nice that the controller can be used for other gaming options, not just the PS5. It comes with a wireless dongle that so you can use the controller to play hard wired or wirelessly. It also comes with additional weights to change the weight of the controller. The joysticks are also customizable. I do like the carrying case and extra long USB C cable that comes with it. You can also connect bluetooth headsets to the controller for a wireless audio experience. One downside to this controller is that on the PS5, the vibration function does not work. Apparently that is something Sony would not let them have access to. All in all, this is a nice controller, but it is my opinion that it is a bit much for the average, every day gamer. The inconvenience of having to connect it to a computer just to customize it is aggravating. I would like to see an app on my smartphone instead.

Super Easy PS5 Upgrade!

When I received this Crucial T500 2TB SSD I was concerned that this would be aggravating to install. I knew there would be some disassembly of my PS5 and I think that would make anybody a little nervous. The form factor of this SSD is tiny! The picture doesn't do it justice in terms of size. I am happy to say that I was completely wrong about the install. It could not have been easier! Keep in mind that instructions are all located online, none really come with the box. Once I went to the listed web address I found the tutorial, complete with written descriptions and pictures for installation reference. All I had to do is take off one of the exterior covers of the PS5. After that I took a small screwdriver and removed one more metal cover and the access to the memory upgrade slot was uncovered! There is one more screw and spacer that had to be moved. Other than that, the memory card just slides right in! Once I installed the memory card and replaced all the covers, I turned on my PS5. It immediately recognized the upgrade and formatted it. Now I have PLENTY of space for more games and data. Gone are the days of having to remove games to install new ones! I couldn't be happier!

Full featured hearing assistance!

The Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus is essentially a bluetooth headset with one goal, to assist your hearing. I have mild hearing loss, mainly in one ear, from years of not wearing appropriate ear protection on the job (firefighter) and at concerts (one of my favorite things to attend). It is nice to know that there are options available that won't completely break the bank. First of all, unlike some other brands that do not allow a full host of standard bluetooth features, the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus headset functions just like a normal pair of bluetooth headphones. You can talk on the phone and listen to music! The audio quality is really good! The earbuds are ultimately controlled by an app you download on your phone. It allows you to keep the earbuds updated, adjust certain features, and change the modes of the earbuds. If you feel over stimulated, you can completely block out all noise and stop the audio outside from coming in. I really liked this part as it sometimes helped me focus on work. The earbuds certainly amplify the noise in the room. I do wish the sound was a little more natural as opposed to it being somewhat gritty. My only other issue is the size of these earbuds. They protrude out of your ears and are very noticeable. This could appear to people that you are wearing earbuds and maybe ignoring them or not listening. I have seen other brands that are much smaller, albeit they had less features. Over all, the features included are great and these earbuds check a lot of boxes!

Whether your mess is wet or dry, the Roomba Combo i5+ robot vacuum and mop can double up on cleaning tasks with one machine. From spilled crackers to every day shoe prints—this robot can handle it. Set it to vacuum only or vacuum & mop your hard floors by swapping in the Roomba Combo Bin.

Not my favorite Roomba

This is not my first iRobot Roomba. With that being said, I have some pretty high expectations for products made by iRobot. As much as it pains me to say this, I personally feel like the Roomba Combo i5+ falls short of my expectations. As a vacuum, it does okay. It has great suction and does a decent job of cleaning carpet and hard floors. I've never been of the belief that a robot vacuum will replace a standard upright vacuum. It leaves nice vacuum lines across carpets. It also empties itself at its charging station which is a plus. That's really all I have to say about it that I like. The mapping run that starts off appeared to be very disorganized in the way it mapped my house. The end result was a map that had all sorts of wierd angles and no discernable order. Next, the vacuum doesn't seem to be very intelligent about taking the smartest route to the rooms it is sent to clean. Sometimes it goes through unnecessary areas to get to its destination. It is advertised as having obstacle avoidance, but to me it still seems to want to run over obstacles such as kid's toys and other items. I do not like the combo bin that picks up dirt and mops. I had issues with it out of the box. It says to run a mapping cycle and a cleaning cycle prior to using the combo bin, which I did. The combo bin came with no obvious instructions. When I put the combo bin on the Roomba, after adding water, the vacuum base station still attempted to empty the dirt bin. Instead of sensing the new combo bin automatically, it was like the Roomba didn't know the combo bin was attached initially. This sucked water into the dirt collection bag and cause an error. Finally, I found a QR code on the top of the combo bin. I scanned it and suddenly I was taken to a page to set up the combo bin. There was no indication that this is what I needed to do in the first place. After cleaning up the mess and setting up the combo bin, I let the vacuum try a mop cycle. I wasn't impressed. The mopping it does was not very thorough. Also, I sent it to clean one room marked on the map, but it ventured into a bedroom with carpet and attempted to sweep and mop the carpet in a small area. I shouldn't have to block off carpeted areas and close doors when areas are explicitly marked on the map for cleaning. The microfiber pad seems to become wet by gravity feeding the water or solution to the pad. This is inconsistent in liquid delivery so the floor has dry spots left where the vacuum cleaner doesn't mop. I don't feel like this product represents the true quality of iRobot, therefore, I do not recommend getting this model.

Great Camera Packed With Features!

This camera from Eufy is jam packed with features that many consumer grade cameras don't have! First of all, it is solar powered. If it's placed in an area with a few hours of sunlight it completely charges itself, no wires needed and no removing rechargeable batteries! An extension cable comes with it so that, if mounting the solar panel on top of the camera doesn't give it enough sunlight, you can mount the solar panel away from the camera itself. This thing has pan and tilt as well! It is nice to be able to look around with a 360° view! This camera has AI built in that will follow a person when it detects them! This Eufy SoloCam S340 also has not one, but two camera! Yes, you read that correctly, two cameras! One is a larger view and one is a zoomed in view. You can view both at the same time or one at a time. The only issue I found from the zoomed in camera is that, if your camera isn't mounted high enough the zoomed in view doesnt reach far enough. You will end up seeing more of the ground. The camera has built in memory so all the video footage stays local. Cloud storage is available as well if needed. The camera also features a very bright LED light that can be activated via the mobile app or by motion detection. The night vision is very bright as well! It illuminates a very large area! For the price, this camera is the most bang for your buck! Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

The "Good Ice" Ice Maker

This machine is absolutely fantastic! I have always loved the "good ice" you can get from restaurants and when I found out you could get it from a machine at home, I jumped on the opportunity! The ice comes out perfectly crunchy and, I feel like it disperses throughout my drink cup better in order to more evenly cool my beverage. Keep in mind, this ice maker is pretty large! It takes up a considerable amount of counter space. Also, you cannot put it completely up against the back of the counter. The fan pulls air from the sides of the unit and blows it out the back of the unit, so if you put it directly against the back wall of a countertop the air flow will not be enough for the machine. The water tank is a very nice edition. I am not really a huge van of the slant on the top of the water tank. I understand that it is a design piece to match the machine itself, but it sure would be nice to be able to sit the water tank down flat on the counter top when attempting to fill up the water tank. The way it is built, you have to hold it during the fill up. You can certainly use the machine without it, however, you will run out of ice much quicker. The ice maker also has a feature that stops it from making ice if the lid has not been lifted after a certain amount of time. I like that because I feel like it won't run unnecessarily. The included ice scoop was a nice touch. The lid of the ice maker is well insulated and the ice does not melt very fast at all when the machine is not running. The machine comes with very detailed instructions about setup, as some assembly is required to connect water lines to the water tank. I have not used the ice machine long enough to have to clean it, however, the instructions that detail the cleaning process seem to be fairly simple. If you are a fan of the "good ice" then this ice maker is for you!

Great entry level gaming laptop!

The Dell G15 is a great entry into the world of portable gaming laptops. It has many great features and the fact that the user isn't stuck gaming in one spot like a desktop would require makes this device that much more attractive. This laptop comes with a beefy Intel Core i7 processor. It has plenty of "get up and go" in terms of processing power. The 1 TB SSD is quick to load and should be plenty of storage for the average gamer. I really like the backlit keyboard as well! The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card renders any game you want to play flawlessly. It even has 6GB of dedicated video memory to that graphics card which is great for gaming! The screen is FHD and the 120Hz refresh rate ensures the visuals are very smooth. As you probably could imagine, this laptop generates a fair amount of heat. It has vents that seem to come out in every direction to allow appropriate air flow to cool the laptop. With that comes some noise. This laptop can be loud, especially if you use the "game shift key" which kind of kicks the laptop into "high gear" and elevates the performance of the laptop. You can definitely hear the fan speed kick up with the push of that button.
The only issues that I have with the laptop is that it is quite bulky and heavy, it does not have a touch screen, and it comes standard with only 8GB of system memory. I would like to see a larger amount of system memory to increase the laptop's multitasking capabilities. It is also worth noting that the power cable/charging cable is GIGANTIC. For something that is supposed to be portable, this limits portability to a degree. All in all, this is a great laptop for anyone looking for the freedom of portability with the power of a gaming laptop.

Great Camera but No Privacy Shield

I use a webcam a lot throughout the week. Usually it is for recording content or video calls. At first glance, the JLab Epic Cam is a premium looking device. It feels well made and it goes well with most any decor inside an office. The camera comes with two different faceplates so you can customize the look of the device. I personally liked the black faceplate and kept that one on the camera. The video quality is very impressive. The first day that I used it for a video chat, my business partner, completely unprompted, told me how great the video quality looked coming from my end! The camera advertises 2k quality out of the box with 5 megapixels The camera also picks up great audio. It has dual microphones and it comes in clear. On top of the camera are two touch sensitive "buttons." One is for zoom and the other is for white balance. I liked the ability to zoom the camera, as I felt like the standard setting that the camera defaults to is way too wide. I use a green screen that is a limited size so I definitely needed the zoom function. There are only two things that I do not like about this camera. The first thing is, I do not like that the camera does not come with a privacy shield that can cover the lens. Most all manufacturers include a privacy shield, whether detachable or built in. Privacy is a huge concern with webcams. The camera does have a light that indicates when it is on, however, most people will still find some alternative method to cover the camera. The other issue I have with this camera is that there is currently no app to adjust the controls. They advertise being able to use the camera without an app, which is nice of course, but I would also like the ability to fine tune my settings without having to continue to touch and fidget with the camera itself. All in all, this is a great camera with awesome video quality!

Home Security at its Finest!

Simplisafe is simply a game changer in the home security system world. Before Simplisafe, we had a commercial alarm service provider. It was always a hastle. They constantly wanted to charge us for upgrading equipment that was "obsolete." When we got Simplisafe, that changed. The system simply works! First of all, there is no contract locking us in. The system can expand as large as we need it to by easily adding additional sensors. This whole home security kit comes with enough to get you started! The keypad is easy to use. The door and window entry sensors are compact and easy to install. The motion sensors, glass break sensor, and extra panic button all join the system nicely. Pairing all these items to the included base station is a breeze! The cameras that come with this system link right up to the Simplisafe app and even, if you hrant permission, allow the alarm dispatcher to see whats going on in the event of an alarm. It's nice to have all your security components inside one app instead of parting them out by different manufacturers. In the event of an alarm, the staff is prompt on the phone and very friendly. I feel safer in my home and when I leave my home due to having this system monitoring it!
