Many bands release a great first album but then they disappoint with their second album. The reason seems obvious enough. They spend years writing, playing and perfecting their originals so they record all of them on their debut album. But then when they need to release the follow up, they only have a year or less to come up with the new songs and it shows. I've always thought bands should hold back a couple of their early originals for their second albums so there is some material that is already familiar to their oldest fans as well as some material they're comfortable playing. I don't know this for sure, but I'd bet Skynyrd did that with this release. It is a very solid follow up to their first album and it's a great listen from start to finish.
I had a homemade CD of all of the Skynyrd hits, but I never really got bought their entire CDs. I was mostly a fan of the hits you'd hear on the radio. For this price, I decided it was time I dug a little deeper and I'm so glad I did. Some of the songs a little too country-tinged for my overall taste, but in the context of the entire CD, it really works well. I highly recommend this CD to anyone looking to get into the original Skynyrd.

This is my seccond cover of this nature for my iPads. I bought the second one because the first was very functional while serving its primary role as protecting my computer. I like how it turns off the iPad when you close it. The magnetic "hinges" are another nice feature. It comes in a multitude of colors that should make everyone happy. Good value for the price.
While Weekend Warriors is not one of my favorite Ted Nugent albums, this three CD pack featuring Warriors, Scream Dream and Free For All is certainly worth the $9.99 I paid for it. Free For All is arguably Ted's best overall album and Scream Dream is a lot of fun if Uncle Ted is your kind of thing. Admittedly, he is not for everyone. But he cranks out some loud, fun rock and roll and no one can question the spirit he brings it to his music. I didn't go into the store looking for this, buit when I saw it, I knew I had just bought it.
