This is definitely one of the prettiest monitors I have used personally. YouTube videos recorded in 2k look flawless. There are a few nature videos (I believe originally recorded in 4k that can be downscaled) that looked amazing. Level of detail for videos is superb. Playing FPS is also amazing! CS:GO and BF1 have a whole new life on this monitor.
I rated this high, 5/5 for its intended purpose, which is advertised as a gaming monitor. I purchased it because it was a great sale price, and it wasn't much more than my AOC 27" 2k @ 60hz monitor.
Text is beautiful, colors are great. Surfing the web, paying bills ... normal use is great. The ability to adjust the monitor is outstanding! Typically, you have to adjust screws or tighten something. But it is almost like a free motion stand: you physically move it to where you want, and it stays rock steady. Extremely well-designed stand!
It does have a bit of bleeding when you're on a black screen. I'm huge on movies, and I love my plasma TV black levels. On that note, I don't plan on using this monitor to watch all my movies. But for those of you that this is the only monitor in the room/dorm, then it is something to consider. For photo editing reasons, the center of the screen is well-controlled. The edges is where it bleeds more, so it doesn't affect me much.
With that being said, my only gripe was for editing. PhotoShop Lightroom and CC are my main concern. I came from a MacBook 13" retina display. So my PPI is in the 200's. Most people don't care for this because for video, you wouldn't be staring from a foot - foot and a half from the monitor. For editing purposes, it lacks that pixel density. An image that I know that looks razor-sharp on my MacBook looks laughably pixelated on this monitor. As a photographer, I look for smaller details like this. It also is important so I don't over-sharpen the photo. Because the display looks "less sharp" (again, relative to the retina display), I will naturally compensate by increasing that sharpness, when in reality, I didn't have to at all. The pixel density is about 108 PPI, which is just less than half of the retina display.
Again, I wanted to be fair and rate this monitor for its intended use. I only wanted to give people a heads up looking for a good editing monitor because the price was so enticing.
Gaming/Video streaming is an absolute joy. Photo editing, quite the opposite.

I set this up replacing an older N600 Netgear router, and I can honestly say the setup was a breeze. I followed the instructions and got it up and running, including the physical setup portion, in maybe 10-15 minutes. Speedtest app on my iPhone gave me huge numbers over the older N600 I was using. I live in a ~2200 sq. ft. two story home. My backyard, garage, living room, and across the street all get great reception. I'm not too sure why there has been so many negative reviews with this device. Everything is extremely intuitive. I set it up on a MacBook running Yosemite, had zero issues.
