This TV is great. I bought it for my bedroom and hooked it up to an indoor antenna. I get about 30 channels, which is about 25 more than I ever watch. The picture quality is as good as my living room set on cable and the built-in DVD player is really handy. The only thing I don't like is when you press the INFO button, you get information about the program currently playing but the print is so small, it's impossible to read more than 3 feet from the screen.

Not the greatest sound in the world but as good as you've got a right to expect for the price. I have a good-quality classical guitar and a lesser-quality steel-string acoustic. I bought this because I wanted to get the feel of an electric guitar and also to try some riffs in the upper register (neither of my other guitars has a cutaway so it's virtually impossible to reach the really high notes). This guitar does everything I want it to do so I'm glad I bought it.

how is the captioning?
I had an older model sharp tv whose captioning was very good. now I have my mom's aoc flat panel whose captioning stinks. I understand that the captioning signal is sent out over the cable, but it seems to me that each tv handles the captioning in its own special way. I want to buy a tv which drops the captioning from one channel as you change to the next, like my sharp did. with the aoc, the captions linger a long time, especially when going to an uncaptioned network like metv. there, the captions from the previous channel stay in the center of the screen and eventually become gibberish signals. I can overcome this by turning the captioning on and off, but it's such a hassle (takes about 12 clicks on the remote). is the captioning on this tv easily changed, and does the captioning "behave" itself by not carrying over to the next channel?
Captioning is very easy to use. CCD button has 3 settings - On, On when mute, Off. Captions immediately disappear when the channel is changed.

Can you repeat a dvd or loop it to play over?
No, you can't.
