I wanted a center channel speaker for movies. I use DCM Time Frame 500 speakers from the 80's that I will never replace. I wanted a center channel to better enhance what was being spoken. I didn't have much space for a center speaker and I needed to go small or move a lot of equipment. I thought I would try this speaker because it was small and not expensive. I found this to be a real value for a center. It really gets the job done and sounds great. Don't let the small size fool you. This has a large full sound. I don't think I will ever replace this speaker. If you don't have a center speaker give this a try, you'll be happy you did. Remember that good things come in small packages.
What's great about it: A small speaker with a loud voice.
What's not so great: Nothing so far
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice, Low Profile Speaker

I have a Bic America 5.0 system, with a Polk sub. For the money, heck, for anything under $100, considering the size, you won't beat this center. I purchased an Energy RC Micro system last week, and promptly returned it. Why? The weak center channel speaker. Vocals sounded small, and that's a pet peeve of mine. That's what makes this little guy stand out. Handles vocals as well as some full-sized brands. Deep male voices, like Christopher Lee's in 'Lord of the Rings', sound the way they are supposed to. Only occasionally do I hear it strain, and that's usually due to the way the vocals were recorded from the source, not necessarily the speaker's fault. When I upgrade to a bigger center -with wife approval...still working on her- it will probably be within the Bic America family. You can't beat it for value. Very well-made, solid, as well. For $40, you simply can't go wrong Try it out. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I wanted a small center channel speaker. Thought I would give this a try. I was using a bookshelf speaker set on it's side. Installed this speaker and I found this to have great full sound. I don't think I will ever upgrade as I am so please. Works with my Denon 120 watt channel system and my great DCM Time Frame 500 speakers from 1988 that I will never replace. Polk sub used for base. My stereo room is 25 by 32 with 18 foot ceiling. This system rocks! Great sounding center without breaking the bank!
