CD Player malfunction
on November 29, 2015
Posted by: RobertP123
This is my 2nd purchase of this sharp 50W mini-system. The 1st one I bought was from Amazon, and the CD player would not play any CD. When a CD was placed in the tray, the display read "Reading CD" then seconds later, displayed "No CD." Tried several pre-recorded CDs: would not play them. I figured I got a lemon, so I went to BB online and found one "opened box" in Excellent condition, so I purchased it again. Same thing: Reading CD and then No CD. What's the problem Sharp?!. Shame because the units did play bluetooth from my phone and the sound was very very good, but I need both a CD and bluetooth player, and I liked the option to play from flash drives.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good for radio, unacceptable for playing CD's
By Stan
In my first attempt to buy the Hi-Fi, I ordered an "Open Box" version. It was described as Excellent Condition with No Missing Parts. Three parts were missing, so I returned it. I then ordered a new version. The radio performed was very well, but when I loaded a CD the screen said "Reading Disc" but never started playing, so I returned it. I have ordered an Insignia CDplayer/radio system from BB. Fingers crossed!
