THIS REVIEW PERTAINS TO THE DYSON COOL-AM07 TOWER FAN - IN BLUE/IRON COLOR STYLING, AND IS INDICATED AS THE FIRST BEST BUY CUSTOMER REVIEW EVER ON THIS PRODUCT, SO I HOPE TO DO IT JUSTICE. HOWEVER, I CANNOT SAY MUCH ON THIS SUBJECT, AS THE HIGH-TECH CONCEPT OF A BLADELESS FAN JUST LEAVES ME AT A LOSS FOR WORDS...................................... NAH, I'M JUST KIDDING!!! I INTEND TO TRY MY BEST, SO HERE GOES. THE DYSON COOL-AM07 TOWER FAN IS SO COOL THAT IT ALMOST BLOWS ME AWAY. IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, THE BLUE/IRON COLORING ADDS A RATHER NICE ACCENT TO AN OVERALL DESIGN THAT APPROPRIATELY REPRESENTS THE HIGH-TECH NATURE OF THIS PRODUCT. DYSON BLADELESS FANS ARE AVAILABLE IN A VARIETY OF SIZES, COLORS, AND DESIGNS TO FIT YOUR OWN NEEDS OR PREFERENCES. THE NEW AM07 MODEL IS A REPLACEMENT AND, EVEN MORE NOTICEABLE, A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT OVER ITS PREDECESSOR THE AM03. CONVERSELY TO THE OLDER MODEL AM03, THIS NEW MODEL AM07 IS CONSIDERABLY QUIETER AND SMOOTHER IN OPERATION. ALL DYSON COOL FANS COME WITH A TINY, CONTOURED REMOTE CONTROLLER, APPROXIMATELY THE SIZE OF AN AVERAGE BASIC CELL-PHONE BATTERY. SINCE THE REMOTE IS SO TINY, IT IS EASILY PRONE TOO LOSS OR ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE. DYSON HAS, ALSO, PUT CONSIDERATION INTO THIS FEATURE BY ALLOWING IT TO ATTACH MAGNETICALLY TO THE FAN ITSELF. FURTHER, IF SOME UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT WERE TO OCCUR, REPLACEMENT REMOTES ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT A FAIR PRICE. ADMITTEDLY, THE PRICE OF SUCH FANS IS QUITE EXORBITANT AND A BIT SHOCKING. I'VE ALWAYS POSSESSED A RATHER DEEP INTEREST IN SCIENCE AND A RATHER CREATIVE IMAGINATION. EVEN SO, I HAD NOT IMAGINED THAT ONE DAY THERE WOULD BE A FAN THAT ACTUALLY OPERATES AS THE DYSON AM08 DOES, AND THE FACT THAT I NOW OWN IT KIND OF BLOWS ME AWAY. IT HAS A TINY REMOTE CONTROL, WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY THE SIZE OF A BASIC CELL-PHONE BATTERY, AND DYSON EVEN GAVE CONSIDERATION OF BEING ABLE TO ATTACH IT MAGNETICALLY TO THE FAN. THIS IS ONE GOOD WAY TO PREVENT THE LIKELY OCCURRENCE OF SUCH A TINY REMOTE FROM BECOMING EASILY LOST OR ACCIDENTALLY BROKEN, ETC. IT IS, ALSO, A CONVENIENT WAY OF KNOWING WHERE YOU HAD LAST LEFT THE REMOTE. EVIDENTLY, HIGH TECHNOLOGY OFTEN EQUALS HIGH PRICING, AND, WHILE YOU SAVE ON THE COST OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION, THE PRICING OF ALL SUCH DYSON FANS IS NOTHING LESS THAN EXORBITANT. ROY ORBISON WAS ONE OF THE ORIGINATORS IN "ROCK & ROLL" MUSIC(ACTUALLY, INITIALLY, MORE IN THE WAY OF "ROCKABILLY"), WITH HIS SUCCESS BEGINNING IN THE LATTER 1950'S; ALONG WITH THOSE ARTISTS WHICH HAD THEIR BEGINNINGS SLIGHTLY BEFORE HIS: SUCH AS ELVIS PRESLEY, JERRY LEE LEWIS, ETC. WHILE, IN COMPARISON TO ELVIS AND OTHER ORIGINATORS, AT THE TIME, IT DOES NOT SEEM PRECISELY OR FAIRLY JUSTIFIED TO REFER TO ROY ORBISON AS UNIQUE, AS ALL ARTISTS FROM THAT GENRE WERE "DIFFERENT", AND LARGELY THIS WAS THE NICHE WHICH DREW THE INITIAL ATTENTION. ALTHOUGH, ROY ORBISON STILL MUST BE CERTAINLY REGARDED AS AN ESPECIALLY DIFFERENT OR UNIQUE ARTIST. ELVIS HIMSELF ONCE REMARKED TO A FAMOUS TELEVISION NEWS REPORTER, IN NEW YORK CITY, THAT HE PERCEIVED ROY ORBISON AS HAVING ONE OF THE FINEST VOICES HE HAD EVER HEARD IN ROCK & ROLL MUSIC. REGARDING THIS SONG, PENNED BY ROY, THE ONLY CHOICE LEFT WAS FOR ROY TO RECORD IT HIMSELF. THIS SONG WAS "ONLY THE LONELY", AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE FORTUNATE THAT THIS ONE OF HIS SONGS WAS ONE HE HAD NO OTHER OPTION THAN TO RECORD HIMSELF. "ONLY THE LONELY" WAS AN INSTANT SUCCESS FOR ROY, AND WAS THE FIRST OF A STRING OF HITS FOR ROY ORBISON. ROY WAS, ALSO, UNIQUE IN THE MANNER WHICH HE WOULD VOCALLY STYLE HIS PERFORMING, WITH A PARTIAL FALSETTO, OFTEN DRAWING UPON AN OPERATIC INFLUENCE. ANOTHER ELEMENT DIFFERENT ABOUT ROY'S MUSIC WAS THE RARE INCLUSION OF ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTS AND ARRANGEMENTS IN A NEW FORM OF MUSIC NOT ORDINARILY KNOWN FOR VIOLINS AND SUCH. THIS SORT OF TREATMENT CAN BE OBVIOUSLY HEARD ON HIS SONGS "IT'S OVER" AND "IN DREAMS". ANOTHER INTERESTING TRIVIA TIDBIT IS THE FACT BEHIND ROY ORBISON'S FAMOUS DARK SUNGLASSES. THAT HAD REALLY BEGUN WHILE HE TOURED WITH A YET TO BE DISCOVERED GROUP CALLED "THE BEATLES". ON THAT TOUR, ROY FORGOT OR MISPLACED HIS REGULAR PRESCRIPTION EYEGLASSES, SO WHEN PERFORMING HE HAD TO WEAR THE SUNGLASSES AVAILABLE TO HIM. THE FANS ADORED THIS LOOK, AND, THUS, SUNGLASSES BECAME PART AND PARCEL OF HIS IMAGE. ROY ORBISON'S LIFE HAD NUMEROUS STRUGGLES, STRIFES, AND TRAGIC GRIEF. WITHIN ONLY A TIME-FRAME REACHING A SIGNIFICANT YET RATHER BRIEF POINT OF FAME, IN 1965, WITH HIS LAST HUGE HIT "OH, PRETTY WOMAN", THE GRIEF WAS TOO OVERWHELMING AND HE ALMOST DISSAPPEARED FOR THE NEXT TWO DECADES. MANY OTHER ARTISTS, DURING YEARS OF TIME OUT OF THE SPOT-LIGHT, SITED ROY ORBISON AS BEARING A HUGE INFLUENCE ON THEIR CAREER AND THEIR LOVE OF MUSIC; FOR EXAMPLE LINDA RONDSTAT HAD RERECORDED ONE OF THE LAST BIG HITS OF THE 1970'S PORTION OF HER CAREER, WITH "BLUE BAYOU", AND DON MCCLEAN RERECORDED A SIZEABLE HIT OF "CRYING". THEN, DURING THE EARLY 1980'S, ROY ORBISON'S CAREER WOULD EXPERIENCE A RESURGEANCE AND A SHORT-LIVED, BUT VERY SUCCESSFUL COMEBACK DURING THE LATE 1980'S. A DUET OF HIS SONG "CRYING" WAS DONE ALONG WITH A SOON TO BE FAMOUS KATY LANG. SHE SANG A LOVELY, POIGNANT VERSION OF "CRYING", ON THE GRAMMY AWARDS, AS A POSTHUMOUS TRIBUTE TO HER MENTOR. ROY HAD ONE ADDITIONAL HIT SONG OF HIS OWN, WHICH HAD JUST HIT THE TOP OF THE CHARTS, WHEN HE SUFFERED A SUDDEN MASSIVE HEART ATTACK AT AGE 57. HIS FINALE SONG HIT WAS "YOU GOT IT". ROY ORBISON IS A HISTORICAL PART OF ORIGINAL ROCK & ROLL. ROY ORBISON WAS AND SHOULD BE FOREVER REMEMBERED AS A GIFTED SONGWRITER, UNIQUE TALENT, CONTRIBUTOR AND FAVORABLE INFLUENCE ON SO MANY OTHER ARTISTS. PANASONIC DECT 6.0 CORDLESS KEEPS YOU CONNECTED

Panasonic 6.0 DECT Plus cordless phones are impressive. No matter which model you choose nor how many handset extensions you prefer or need, Panasonic manufactures true quality cordless phones. I can tell you from experience that, in fact, their reception is superb and maintains dependability from quite a good distance, with usually no interference or static noises. Besides, they are of rather durable construction and can withstand under some reasonably heavy usage, inclusive of even some hard knocks and drops. The buttons are very well lit and comfortable to the touch. The display is pleasant and easy to see. The answering machine built into most of these units holds merely under fifteen minutes of incoming messages, but it is dependable and may be accessed remotely. Of course, if you subscribe to caller ID, it offers both visual and spoken alerts. My primary compliment, aside from the variety of nice and useful features, is that the audio quality of calls is realistic and superior to any either corded or cell phone I've ever heard, plus the speaker is a handy, reliable feature, too. One unescapably negative point is that the NiMH batteries require frequent recharging, and each time that takes approximately seven hours to accomplish, though each recharge results in power that seems to disappear in no time at all. One caution to be wary of is, however, should you order extra parts, especially handsets, directly from the manufacturer, there's a disappointing surprise; even though the accessories are supposed to be equally compatible to those which had accompanied the original unit, you'll generally receive inferior quality equipment ordered at a considerably increased cost. All in all, while I don't intend to discourage purchasing other makes and models, I've personally only chosen to use this manufacturer's cordless phone models. Again, the sound is superb, and I would say that's the main reason I stay with Panasonic.

SONY HEADPHONES NOT SURPRISINGLY UNIMPRESSIVE

How Often Used:3-5 times a week
"SONY" Headphones, whether stereo or otherwise, especially within this general price range, simply cannot and do not provide much more than giving the feel of listening to audio via headphones and of a somewhat private listening experience. The fact that the quality of audio gives an entertainment experience which is, in a word, unimpressive, should really not be surprising at all. I personally knew from a similar level of headphones, when in more youthful and naïve days, and these served a primary purpose of an initial learning experience. Actually, though some of these are slightly better than others, not offering near a wide-spectrum of audio, but in more of a way that one can usually hear sound that's considerably clearer and less raspy or distorted, as compared to another of this same price range. These are, also, not constructed to be durable, and probably won't withstand any quite average abuse. Even so, I strongly hesitate to say that you get what you pay for, since there is such a confusing selection of pricey, so-called high-end models from which to choose, and most of those are not necessarily as fantastic as claimed, in return for their expensive cost. This type of low-end model of headphone still has its purposes. For example, I'll purchase them for youngsters, much as how I came to know them, as an initial introduction to headphones, and many youngsters may find them enjoyable for a while, anyhow. Further, even now, I am willing to use these for the privacy aspect, and they can be sufficient for some computer audio or other very basic audio, not music but good for that such as the spoken word.

"Ninja-1200 Kitchen System" has greatly improved, reinvented, and redefined the meaning of the blender. Note, that this review can just about apply equally to their updated 1500watt model, only designed with basically fewer attachments and, therefore, requires slightly less power consumption. On this model, both sensibly sized 40-ounce and 72-ounce containers come equipped with respectively compatible blade assemblies. The ingeniously simplistic concept of the ultra sturdy, sharp, and contoured multi-blades are clearly the actual reason for the capacity to accomplish amazingly fast, thorough, efficient chopping, pulverizing, mixing, blending, etc. Any kind of food item from, for example fresh carrots to ice-cubes, are altered and created into a liquid or any other form you may wish, with the mere touch of your preference of speed button. Nutrition can be enhanced with the easy preparation of any one, or a combination, of various healthy, fresh foods as they become created into any of many conceivably desired recipes, such as beverages, shakes, soups, even cake or cookie dough. My answer is straightforward in that more people need to exhibit good-faith and share knowledge with one another of helpful stuff, and I can only hope at least some others may join me in spreading good -faith. Lend your attention to my honest review and I assure that all will find it worthwhile. I had been provided very little advice prior to deciding this would be one of two digital cameras I'd choose to purchase. That said, however, I must be fair in complimenting the respectful, amiable BBY Salesperson, since their service was great in helping to compare the features, confirming my knowledge was correct, and effecting a purchase of a needed product at a superbly reasonable BBY price that proved "picture perfect". This tiny Nikon digital camera may be more than surprising to most users. Huge assortment of fabulous features included & manufactured with excellence, plus so easy to operate and obtain satisfying results. The reason#s# for its name "Coolpix" becomes evident almost upon opening the box. If anyone recalls a majority of the cameras and bulky camcorders of not so long ago, the Coolpix L620, puts those expensive, cumbersome devices to shame. I am rather accustomed to a variety of video and audio equipment; particularly due to my entertainment/other event assignments. This camera has instantly become one of my new friends...helping to capture valued memories and important events in full HD quality. I certainly wish, in retrospect, this device had been available years ago when I truly desired to take photos and videos, especially of special family and beloved, rescued pets, with such ease and such beautiful results. Whether your needs are professional or personal, this is among the positively best video devices you will enjoy.

This Sony Xplod Boombox will positively amaze the listener with realistic audio(bass, midrange, & treble). Do not allow the slightly smaller than average boombox size to surprise you. And, the price may be too reasonable for its performance. I purchased the originally designed model of Xplod and am still enjoying it. Even old and rare, so-called "soundboard" CD/cassettes will not sound inferior, but will come alive. Sony manufactured different styles/versions of Xplod since I initially bought it nearly five years ago. This newer version is immensely improved in appearance, features, and the audio output is spectacular. Take this advice from a very particular audiophile!!!

NOTE ON SONY MODEL ZS-BTG900 FOR HEADPHONE USERS

For HEADPHONE users, who may sometimes prefer listening to their audio in that manner- be it for privacy, or to avoid disturbing others, or to simply enjoy your music via headphones- there is a noteworthy detail. This Sony boombox does NOT support the use of any type of headphone. There is definitely no manner in which to plug in a wired headphone, nor for it to recognize a wireless headphone. The wireless or bluetooth enabled feature is so as to get this unit to recognize and play audio output via incoming audio feed. Further, although there is a tiny jack at the front lower right side of this unit, it is clearly marked for its sole purpose; namely, "audio in". I had contacted Sony Customer Relations, as well as their tech-support, to politely inquire as to the reason why their newer, improved models are not compatible with any headphone, while other older models of their "Xplod" series boomboxes and numerous other large and small devices do, indeed, support this feature. Well, I would have ordinarily expected far better customer relations from Sony than I received. I, candidly, was unpleasantly surprised by Sony representatives who had very, very nastily insisted that no boombox ever created allows for compatibility with any headphone. Sony's answer was not only unnecessarily offensive, their responses on a very simple audio question were totally inaccurate. It did not change their attitude when I indicated proof of the many units which positively do support headphones, including at least one of their older "Xplod" models, which I've owned for a few years now and still use. While I recognize that some customers may think it's ridiculous to use a headphone with a boombox, many other less expensive models are compatible with headphones, and it is very possible that a headphone option could sometimes be desired. I really wonder why Sony decided to exclude the rather basic, inexpensive feature of a headphone jack from their newer, improved, and much more expensive models. By the way, even though model ZS-BTG900 is often referred to as part of the "Xplod" boombox line of audio products, and I consider it to actually be just a larger boombox, you may eventually learn yourself that it is named a "personal audio system". Nonetheless, I do hope that certain HEADPHONE users may find this commentary worthy of mention. Enjoy!!!

IT IS TRUE, IF YOU WANT TO USE CORDED HEADPHONES WHEN LISTENING TO AUDIO ON MODEL ZS-BTG900, YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK. WHY THEY CHOSE TO NOT INCLUDE A HEADPHONE JACK OPTION ON THEIR NEW AND IMPROVED MODELS DOES SEEM PECULIAR. IT MAY BE POSSIBLE THAT THEY COULD SUPPORT ONLY WIRELESS HEADPHONES, WHILE THIS AND OTHER NEWER MODELS OF AUDIO SYSTEMS DO LACK THE OFTEN EXPECTED AND BASIC FEATURE OF REGULAR HEADPHONE COMPATABILITY. ALSO, AS FOR THOSE "SONY" REPRESENTATIVES, WHO HAD PROVIDED IGNORANT AND NASTY SERVICE, ALL SORTS OF BUSINESSES HAVE SOME REGRETTABLY ROTTEN EGGS, AS WELL AS THOSE TRULY GOOD EGGS. "SONY" AND "SAMSUNG" ARE, USUALLY, TWO OF THE BETTER IN CUSTOMER RELATION ISSUES. IN MY OPINION, ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR MANUFACTURERS THESE DAYS, "TOSHIBA", HAS REPRESENTATIVES THAT YOU CAN ALMOST ANTICIPATE WILL EXHIBIT AN ATTITUDE OF INFERIOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND RELUCTANCE TO PROVIDE PRODUCT SUPPORT, AT LEAST UNLESS YOU PAY FEE AFTER FEE, EVEN FOR A NEW "TOSHIBA" PRODUCT UNDER WARRANTY. Accept this advice from a very particular audiophile. Sony's "Xplod" line of boomboxes provide the listener with amazingly realistic quality audio output#ie- full range bass, midrange, treble#. In fact, I myself had been quite pleasantly surprised by the performance of their original model, which I purchased roughly six years ago, and continue to enjoy to this current day. Even older or so-called "soundboard" recordings on CD/cassette won't sound inferior, as on this device all comes alive. As for the not so favorable reaction of neighbors, landlords, etc., the listening pleasure derived will, in my opinion, more than compensate. Many of these persons usually won't admit that they can't help actually enjoying what they're hearing#almost up-to-par with the likes of a free-live-performance#, but just try to be a bit considerate and lower the volume of its rich, full-range spectrum of sound. From "Good Ol' R&R" to orchestral symphonies to most contemporary music, you will be highly impressed and pleased. I'm not excluding the FM/AM radio & other features; it's basically needless to say that, in fact, any listener will find all it's capable of doing is equally fantastic. Sony has marketed various versions with far less appealing appearances than their recent boomboxes#an added plus is "Xplod" has been improved in its looks and features#, though I've been pleased with all in that, evidently, Sony surely knows how to manufacture a not-so-large boombox with immensely enjoyable qualities. So, join me in purchasing the Sony "Xplod" with the extra benefits of being a Best Buy customer. Believe it or not, this concludes my review, but I will likely continue my praises.

NEW SONY BOOMBOXES SOUND GREAT-BUT MISSING BASICS

I know, for a fact, that I'm not alone in noticing and disliking that newer, improved boomboxes manufactured by "Sony" are missing basic features. First, the issue of compatibility with corded headphones, this model has a headphone jack, yet the even more expensive model #ZS-BTG900 does not support any corded headphone. Even though these are loud boomboxes, there are times when using a headphone is desirable or necessary. Moreover, while the model #ZS-BTG900 does not support any headphone, it does play compact discs. As for this model, it cannot play any compact discs. Does "Sony" really believe that removing these expected and wanted features is an improved concept? For what legitimate reason did "Sony" remove such basic features from their modern models? These models sound great, but not all customers are pleased with these somewhat ridiculous changes. Call 1(800)222-SONY!!!

I DO APOLOGIZE, NO HARM INTENDED; THOUGH I NOW RECOGNIZE THAT I HAD, EVIDENTLY, CONFUSED FEATURES AND QUALITY OF ONE RECENT "SONY" MODEL WITH ANOTHER NEW MODEL, ZS-TGB900. THIS SPECIFIC MODEL OF "SONY" WIRELESS BLUETOOTH BOOMBOX ONLY HAS AN AM/FM RADIO, NOT A CD PLAYER, OR A REMOTE COMMANDER. ALSO, THE AUDIO QUALITY OF THIS MODEL'S SPEAKERS IS REMARKABLY EXCELLENT, BUT ACTUALLY NOT ALL THAT SPECTACULAR. I, HONESTLY, PREFER SOME OLDER "XPLOD" MODELS, FOR NUMEROUS REASONS. THEY, GENERALLY, WERE SLIGHTLY SMALLER, HAD VERY EXCELLENT SOUND FOR THEIR SIZE, AND, HAD MANY ADDITIONAL FEATURES; INCLUDING AN AM/FM RADIO, A CD PLAYER, A REMOTE COMMANDER, PLUS THE OPTION OF PLUGGING IN CORDED HEADPHONES. Is there any way to improve the display?, Graphics look blurred.
The graphics are very unclear and blurred, Is there any way to correct it? If I want to work with Pictures and graphic design it is very unconfortable. I can bear the lack of CD player but not the lack of sharpness in its display!
In attempt to briefly answer your queries, I'm honestly a bit perplexed. The first Toshiba laptop I had purchased(fitting the basic description of the model you're asking about) was full-featured, having contained an excellent CD drive(player and recorder). This is one aspect that I personally happen to truly appreciate, but I don't follow your comment on it not having this feature. As for blurry, or otherwise distorted picture, the display is vividly HD, so yours may perhaps be either a lighting issue, or is it on eco-friendly setting, or did you try searching the browser charm for adjusting the display. What operating temperature range should this TV not exceed over and under?
I have a sun room attached to the back of the house and while it is kept dry (it does get humid) it is not insulated. I live on Long Island, NY, so the temperature in the room does get very cold and and can get quite hot as well. I am not sure it ever freezes in the room, but I thought an LED TV might be better to use in this room rather than a LCD TV or a plasma.
