OK guys HDMI cables are not all the same. There is a big difference in the quality as well as price. There are four things that determines the qaulity of an HDMI cable. 1. the materials they use in the cable 2. the amount of shielding around the cable 3. the amount of band width the cable can handle 4. the information transfer speed Monster has great products and the HDMI cables are excellent I use them on everything from a roku box to a bluray player or my PS3 and it all looks fantastic. Don't get me wrong I have tried other HDMI cables and none ever look as good as the monster products.

Have a harmon kardon sound bar that is awsome for sound but doesn't have the blutooth capabilities like a lot of other soundbars. With this adaptor it made that problem go away and it works great! I can now stream music from my ipad and listen to it on the sound bar. This product is great!!

Have a kitchen that opens up into the living room so the area is big. I bought this unit because the reviews on it were decent. The problem I have was the afternoon sun hits the whole left side of the kitchen and living room that is all windows and the rooms heat up real quick in the summer. I took a chance and bought the unit and it is amazing!! Install was easy and cooled my rooms in about 20 minutes. In fact it was getting the rooms so cold that my central AC wasn't kicking on anymore and all my bedrooms were heating up and we couldn't sleep . So I keep it at 76 on the unit so it stays nice a cold in the rooms despite all the sun and heat comming in thru all the windows but still lets the central ac kick on as well. This thing is great for the price!!! I should not have $400 summer electric bills this summer.

Needed a new upconverting dvd player since my 4 year old toshiba did a nose dive. What is great about this player is the picture quality is excellent. Everything sony is famous for a picture as close to a bluray picture as you can get. What not so good is the fact that there is no display screen on the front of the player and the only way to see it is to go into the menu on the dvd remote. Also my toshiba smart connected to my sony LED thru the HDMI connection and allowed me to use my tv remote to control the dvd player as well as turning the tv on when I turn the dvd player on first. I thought sony would at least have this feature especially since it is a sony product connecting to another sony product but sadly no.
What's great about it: picture quality
What's not so great: no screen for functions on player and no smart connect to tv
Aired between 1988 and 1990 in national syndication, the two-season science fiction drama War of the Worlds constituted a big-budget sequel to the 1953 Byron Haskin-George Pal feature of the same name. A word of explanation may be helpful for those unfamiliar with this franchise. In the original Pal-Haskin film, a group of aliens from the planet Mars crash landed on Earth when their own planet became uninhabitable. As the film's title implies, however, these were not peaceful aliens, but bellicose and bloodthirsty ones, hell-bent on destroying human civilization and wiping out homo sapiens. The Martians just about succeeded at obliterating Earth itself (and demonstrated complete immunity to all traditional weaponry), but eventually succumbed to their own vulnerability to earthly bacteria. Television producers created the small-screen sequel, in part, to capitalize on the sudden resurgence in popularity of the 1953 picture on the home video market. When the series begins, 35 years have passed since the original invasion, with the aliens contained in an abandoned underground nuclear test site. The aliens inevitably escape at the outset, and set about trying to rally their species for a new war, but have developed the ability to morph into human bodies and walk among the populace virtually undetected save the leprosy-like symptoms that eventually materialize following their exposure to radiation. Attempting to counter their activities (from a rural bunker) were a crack team of fighters that included an astrophysicist, a computer whiz, and a steel-tough military man. When the second season began in 1989, however, a number of key changes had taken place: a new title (War of the Worlds - The Second Invasion); a bevy of new humanoid invaders, former inhabitants of the planet Morthrai, who wiped out the alien "servants" from the first season and set about taking over themselves; a new Earthly environment that found the world in political turmoil and engulfed by bizarre storms; and several new characters. The premises of the individual episodes from Season Two had the aliens attempting to systematically purify the human raise, and cloning many humans in the process, while a band of renegades attempted to stop them. This set contains all twenty episodes from Season Two as originally broadcast from 1989 to 1990.

I remember watching this and the Highlander series on saturday afternoons back in my middle school days. At the time the special effects were state of the art and the story line wars dark. Even though some of the main characters were killed off. It really upset me at the time but now that i look back on it, probably more realistic that people actually die and the good guys don't always win. I f you like Sci Fi this is a great series for your collection. I give it 2 thumbs up!!
This DVD player features 1080p upconversion for watching standard-definition DVDs in high-definition and DTS and Dolby Digital decoders for a lush soundscape.

When I took the player out of the box for the first time and plugged it in, it wouldnt turn on. NO POWER. Finally I got the power to turn on and I watched a movie. The remote would not work for some reason and I could not turn off or stop the movie. Had to unplug it from the power strip. I was done with it and took it back to the store. I got the Sony SR500H for the same price. Works just fine.

Great buy for the money

I purchased this as a second choice player the first being the sony that is sold by BBY as well. I must say it is a great little unit. The main reason I got it was for the compatability with my tv and allows me to use my tv remote to control the unit. I thought since my tv was a sony that my first choice would have worked. This player puts out a great picture and the controls are very simple. The function to connect to my tv and allows me to use my tv remote to control both units is great!!!! For the price its a great player!!!
