The rig I built about 2 years ago was using a 400W Diablotek PSU. It worked perfectly. About a month ago it started randomly making a weird grinding noise if you will. I pretty much knew it was the PSU starting to fail but I ignored it, and I kept using the computer. Last night I decided to shut down the computer as I normally leave it on but it was making the noise and I was trying to sleep.
About an hour and a half ago I went to turn on the computer, and it wouldn't power on. I said to myself there she blows. It finally gave out. I've been fixing, and building computers since I was 9. I would like to start my own repair shop. I quickly went on my phone, and started checking websites to stores in my area. The Diablotek cost me $18.99. A very basic PSU. All I need is SATA cables, a few molex,, etc. That's what made the Diablotek so perfect for this rig.
Walmart had a nice selection online of some cheap PSUs but when I got to the store they didn't have a single one in stock in the store which is typical. I then went to BB, and they only had ONE PSU on the shelf which was this one that I saw online that was perfect for what I needed. It was meant to be.
I grabbed it, paid for it, and drove home. I opened my case, pulled out the old one, installed the new one all within 15 minutes, and she powered right on with ease. The wiring on this PSU is better quality than the old one. It's wrapped in a nice coating to protect the cables which is nice. It's also extremely quiet.
2 to 2.5 years out of a $19 PSU is definitely worth the money. The computer is always on so that's a lot of work for the PSU so I'm not upset over it. Twice a year I strip down my case, and I clean everything out. I clean the fans, I blow out the dust. Sometimes I'll even apply new thermal paste to my CPU, and sometimes I'll even take apart my video card, and do the same. I take good care of my computer.
If you need a basic ATX / Micro ATX PSU then this will work just fine. 400w is plenty for this rig even with the 4 120mm LED fans I have. This little $450 rig is a BEAST. I have 1 SSD for my OS, and 2 storage drives for everything else.
I've only had this PSU in for just about an hour but I'm please so far. I can't be without a computer. I would be extremely bored.
Thanks Insignia.

I Just Traveled Back In Time

As a kid I always spent weekends at Nanny & Poppy's in Bayside, Queens. She only had 14 channels on TV. Every Saturday night my brother and I would watch Mad TV and Tales from the crypt. We would always pretend to go to bed and then get back up when it was time for the shows to come on. Watching TFTC is one of my most vivid childhood memories of my brother. He passed away when I was 9. I went into Best Buy to browse and I saw a $9.99 movie bin and right on top was this set. It was like I was drawn to it. If you watched these as a kid in the 90's then do yourself a favor and buy the set. I'm in the process of buying all the other seasons.

Couldn't Be Happier!
on December 8, 2015

I recently purchased a 99 Chevy S10 which already had a Pioneer aftermarket deck in there but very old and missing the volume buttons. The old owner said his kid would play with the volume in the truck so he took the buttons out which I still don't know why he wouldn't just remove the face plate instead of destroying the unit. I had to use a paper clip to work the volume which while driving was a royal pain. I knew I was going to upgrade to something newer but didn't really know which one so I started digging around.
After some research I came across the 6700BT but soon after saw the 6800BT so decided if I was going to go with this unit I would just get the 6800BT. I got BB to price math Amazon so I got this for $94, and I had it sitting in my closet for almost 2 months because the truck had issues and I wasn't sure if I was keeping the truck so I didn't want to put the radio in. I had the problems repaired so today I had the unit installed. During the time I had it sitting around there was no reviews on BB for the 6800BT so I thought I would be the first one but turns out quite a few others have purchased this during the between time. I had PC Richard do the install because they charge $45 over BB's $69 which in-store was $99 and I couldn't justify $100 for splicing in the new harness, and running a mic as like I said my truck already had a Pioneer so any cutting of the dash was already done. I could have done it myself but I don't know how to splice and the new harness had the antenna for the remote and stuff so I wanted it done right.
I've only had about 15 minutes to play around with it so far but in those 15 minutes I could already tell I made the right choice. This deck is just pure awesome, and anyone who differs is either a liar or a troll. I set my radio stations and set up my B/T before leaving the parking lot, and it works extremely well. I called my voice mail just to test it and the radio cuts off and you can hear my mailbox asking for my password thru the speakers of the truck and when you hang up it goes back to where it was. I set the clock but I didn't set any colors set but the automatic changing colors is awesome, and with over 210,000 different custom options the combinations are endless. The Aux and USB in the front is just awesome too. Everything about this desk is awesome. There are SO MANY features that you literally just have to sit in the car/truck and fool around with it but as you do you appreciate everything it has to offer. For under $100 and even at normal price this thing has EVERYTHING. My radio reception was a little poor with the old unit, and I thought it was just because the truck is a 99. I assumed even with the new unit I would still suffer from the slight static I got on perfectly reachable stations but I was wrong. It turned out to be the old unit. Now with the new unit my radio is CRYSTAL CLEAR like never before which made me extremely happy. This really wakes up the interior of my old truck. I plan to make a video later tonight when it gets dark as I vlog and really want to see it shine.
In conclusion you can't go wrong with this deck. This has EVERYTHING you need and more. I recommend this to anyone and everyone looking to either upgrade an old desk or go from stock. Some cars have great stock systems but mostly new cars so if you have like a 2005 base model whatever then this would totally transform the car. I'm adding a quick little picture.
Have a good day

GREAT DEAL
on February 22, 2015

from Commack, NY
I didn't buy this cus I have a PS4 but this is a GREAT DEAL! TLoU is a GREAT GAME, and you will get PSTV that you can put in another room.
The only thing I HIGHLY recommend doing is ditching Sony's thermal paste as it's VERY POOR QUALITY. I took my PS4 apart when I got home with it, and mine was already drying up which is BAD. It seems Sony still cut corners in the same place like PS3, and that's very poor quality thermal compound.
What is thermal paste?
What does thermal paste do, and why is it important for me and my PS4?
Thermal compound is a paste that goes between your CPU/GPU and the Heat Sink. The thermal paste's duty is to transfer the heat from the CPU/GPU to the Heat Sink, and then the fan blows it out of the case. Sony's paste is so bad that it's already half dry out of the box which means in as little as 3 months, your PS4 is already prone to running hotter than it should have to.
Have good quality thermal paste is important because by ditching Sony's paste and using better stuff like Arctic Silver 5 or MX-2 the heat from your CPU/GPU will be transferring properly, and the PS4 will be running cooler which means it no longer will be struggling to stay cool. Sure, all because your PS4 is working doesn't mean it's not already overheating.
How can I tell if my PS4 can benefit from this? Well, first off, it will benefit from this automatically as again, the thermal paste in there now is very poor quality. Two very easy ways to tell if your thermal paste is pretty much shot is fan speed, and the air coming out of the back.
If your fan gets super load while playing or even on idle, your paste isn't working properly.
Put your hand in the back on the right side. Do this after it has been on for a while. The air be blown out should be HOT, not cool. The only time the air should be cold or cool is when you first turn it on. Cool or cold air doesn't mean your PS4 is running cool, it actually means the exact opposite. If the thermal paste isn't transferring the heat to the heat sink properly, then there's not going to be any hot air for the fan to blow out. When the thermal paste is doing its job, the air will be nice and hot.
Now, this isn't a flaw with the PS4. I can almost guarantee XB1 has cheap thermal paste too and even the XB1 can benefit from better thermal paste. The PS3s YLOD was caused by the thermal paste. When I opened my PS3, the paste was BONE DRY, and the PS4 would of been the same if I let it go for about 6 months but why let your PS4 struggle when it doesn't have to. The PS3 would eventually get so hot as there was not heat being transferred and blown out that the solder would break causing the YLOD.
Now, the next thing to discuss, your 1 year warranty. A lot of people will debate doing this because yes you need to break your warranty seals to get inside but let's be realistic. The chances of anything breaking in the first year where you would even need your warranty is very slim not to mention Sony will still charge you $150 for some form of repair. You actually have a higher risk of an overheating problem from the paste more than anything else. If you Google this, you will see a ton of people have done this most being PC builders and people who really know about thermal paste like myself.
It's actually very easy to do, and if you have any experience with the inside of a computer then this is just as easy. Taking apart the PS4 to do this was actually much easier than the PS3 as the fan assembly doesn't have to come out. You basically just remove the power supply, the Blu-Ray, and you're good to go. Below is a video I made explaining the process of doing it and inside my description is a link to a video you can use to help you take it apart.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7_l01yJGUk
Again, your PS4 WILL INDEED EVENTUALLY suffer from this in as little as a few months. Like I said, my paste was already somewhat dry right out of the box. Thermal paste when using good quality will last you anywhere from 3 to 5 years. I change the thermal paste in my computers every 3 to 5 years and I will do my PS4 again around 2019 or so.
Again, this post is to INFORM YOU that your PS4 DOESN'T have to work harder for no reason all because of cheap thermal paste. Once you put better paste in there, all the heat from the chip will be transferred properly and efficiently to the heat sink and your fan will blow out all that hot air. Also, you will notice your fan NEVER goes past stage 2 fan speed in ANY GAME. My fan speed is stage 1 during IDLE, even if idling for DAYS. My friends PS4 who hasn't done it yet changes from stage 1 to stage 2 during idle, and stage 3 and 4 in a game. His fan sounds like a JET ENGINE. I also have a buddy in FL who is mailing me his PS4 tomorrow just to have me do this for him, and I will mail it back. He is paying shipping both ways. I even extend this offer to anyone here. Just pay shipping both ways, and I will gladly do this for you using top of the line thermal paste. Why do it for free? Because I know the good this does, and I like to see computers and consoles running properly. Again, yes your PS4 will work, but you will notice sooner or later your fan loud and the air blowing out the back right side is cool. Again, it should be HOT. Hot air means a cooler console. Cold air means a hotter running console. Again, you can Google this. Even when you buy a CPU for a computer, and it comes with the stock heat sink and fan, the paste that is pre-applied on the heat sink is usually garbage. I usually wipe it off, clean the surfaces using Articlean which you will hear about in the video above, and I put Arctic Silver 5 or MX-2. I've done 5 PS3s in total, and this will be my 3rd PS4. Every single one I've done is running cool and quiet, and each owner is very pleased.
In conclusion, yes this voids your warranty, but it's not really needed. This will actually prolong the life of your PS4 100% as it's just commons sense. The more heat you can get transferred and out of your console the better she will run and perform. Now, of course if you buy this deal, and you get the PS4 home, sure go ahead and play it as you're super excited. You don't NEED to do this before you even plug it in. I just chose to do so as I just figured I would get it out of the way, and not worry about it for years but if you do decide to play it since you really want to, just know that I personally wouldn't go more than 6 months with that stock thermal paste. Play it for a few months, and either have a friend do it for you, tackle it yourself using my video and the video in my description or PM me, and I will gladly do it free of charge again just cover shipping both ways. If I get it early enough in the day, I will do it and have it back out the same day. You will have it back in a week or less time.
Here's the link again
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7_l01yJGUk
Anyway, just wanted to share, it's really something to consider doing. Nothing bad can come from doing it, only good, seriously. Some of you here may already know about it doing it to your PS3, you may just know about it from word of mouth or you're hearing about it for the first time. Either way, it's a very very good thing to do, and your PS4 will LOVE YOU.
Take care, and have a great evening.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Superior System
on January 13, 2015
Posted by: COMMACKOFTN
from Commack, NY
First off,
We all know PS4 is more powerful than XB1. There's no arguing that fact nor is there ANY kind of debate. Anyone who says XB1 is more powerful is either a liar or just upset and bent out of shape that they made the wrong choice and bought the wrong console. Anyone who reads the specs of both, and STILL buys the XB1, all I can do is SMH.
I was TRULY going to wait for the PS4 slim that's being announced at E3 this year which is said to have hardware upgrades coming which include a SATA III motherboard and SSD. Sure, you can put a SSD in there now but since the PS4 is SATA II, you won't benefit from the full speed of an SSD which makes putting in a SSD a waste of money. If you're planning on upgrading the HDD, just stick with a regular spindle driver. Either get a HGST 1TB 7200 RPM or get the Samsung Seagate Momentus SpinPoint which is a 2TB 5400RPM drive. Both of those are EXCELLENT choices for upgrading your PS4's hard drive. IMO, I would go with the 1TB ONLY because I'm not a fan of Seagate even if Samsung did buy them. They have the HIGHEST failure rate out of ALL hard drives. I also would want the 7200 RPM over 5400RPM. Also don't listen to people saying that a 7200RPM drive will create more heat. I mean yeah it will but no where near enough to even worry about it.
IMPORTANT: The PS4 suffers from the same stock garbage thermal paste as the PS3 did. Sony still is cutting corners in that area so it's VERY WISE to consider taking apart your PS3 / PS4 and changing out that garbage with some Arctic Silver 5. I'm planning on doing that within in the next 3 months as people are reporting half dried up paste right out of the box as I know people who took it apart before even plugging it in. Yes, this will void you warranty but I rather have a out of warranty PS4 running cooler and better than a in warranty overheating even if it's only starting to overheat. Why make your PS4 struggle and work harder to stay cooler? Once you put in Arctic Silver 5, you won't need to do it again for at least 3 years. However, the stock paste I wouldn't trust for more than 6 months of casual usage, trust me. I did this to a few PS3s and I noticed a HUGE different right away. Just Google PS3 or PS4 thermal paste, and you'll find TONS of info about it, I'm not the first one to mention this, it's known by a lot of people.
Anyway, I have my PS4 for about 5 full days now and I absolutely LOVE IT. I mean I know I would always get the PS4 over the XB1 but the feeling of knowing I bought the more powerful gaming console just puts a huge smile on my face. Sure, the XB1 is a great entertainment console but when it comes to pure gaming which is what someone buys these for, the PS4 runs CIRCLES around the XB1. Again, if someone tries to tell you otherwise, they CLEARLY own the XB1 and are simply defending it, are liars, or are just upset they made the wrong choice.
Are you on the fence about which console to buy? DON'T BE, there's NO COMPARISON. The PS4 is the BETTER CHOICE. It's more powerful!!! XB1 can't even run COD Ghosts in 1080p, a game that uses a 10 YEAR OLD ENGINE but PS4 can no problem at a clean 60FPS. Same things goes for PES, XB1 is 720p, PS4 is 1080p. People even tried to blame the developer for making it 720p on XB1 and 1080p on PS4 but why would any game designer want their game to run weaker on one console and better on the other? Simple, they DON'T but they HAD NO CHOICE because the XB1 just can't handle it so the had to settle for 720p on XB1. Also, who wants to snap TV on the side of the screen when they're gaming? Totally useless feature. Also, not to mention you can't even stream Netflix without having a GOLD membership. Sure, you need Playstation Plus to play online with the PS4 but you don't need it to watch Netflix or any other service like it. That's just silly that you pay for Netflix, you spend $400-$500 on a XB1, you pay $50-$80 for internet per month but you can't stream Netflix without GOLD. TERRIBLE!
Buy the PS4, and pay yourself on the back for buying the superior console. The console that also has better games. The console that BLOWS the XB1 away. Even the WII U is AHEAD of XB1 in sales. That ALONE tells you enough about the XB1.
Have a great day!

Another Outstanding Logitech Product

I'm no stranger to Logitech Wireless Mouses, and I told my Uncle he needs to get rid of that PS/2 ball mouse, and step up his game because he's going soft. I waited for one to go on sale during Black Friday of '13, but to my surprise none did. This past Sunday I went through the certain store ad magazines as I normally do and this mouse caught my eye, and since I was already sitting at the computer, I jumped online, and sure enough there one was. The M325. All the colors were available and I asked my Uncle what color he wanted, and he said Blue, and I said blue it is! I decided to buy 2 as I could use one too as a spare. I have a M305 I think from about 3 years ago and it's still going strong. These things are built like ROCKS. This one only takes ONE AA. I can't believe it. JUST ONE. That's AMAZING! The best part is, I've had a battery last 8-12 months, and mine's ALWAYS ON. These are AMAZING. Just buy a Duracell or Energizer, and don't look back. People cheap out on certain things, and one of those things are batteries. JUST BUY THE GOOD ONES!

I Like Them!

I was a little scared to buy these after reading all the reviews saying the right speaker shorted out, and stuff. I've read TONS of reviews saying the same thing, which made me not so sure. I wanted some kind of headset for my PS3 that would allow me to play at night and not wake anyone, and for the price I got them for during BF for $34.99. Can't beat that.
I've had them for about a week now, and so far so good. Both speakers still work, they sound great. It really does add to your gaming experience because it immerses you into the game way more than the TV sound. People say, they can still hear outside of the headset, but let me tell you. Yes, you can, when there is no sound coming thru it. Once they are on, and game sound is going, you can't hear a thing outside of them. You are LOCKED in.
I do however hope that I encounter no issues in the weeks to come as I did not purchase the protection, I am just making sure I am completely gentle with them.

This console exist solely for the hardcore gamer. This is an advanced version of the console with an overclocked GPU and 4K and HDR that is something to behold if you witnesses it in person. Everyone who is complaining about the UHD player not included in the console. Here's the reason, the number of consumers who have used the PS4 and PS3 when it picked up traction using NETFLIX was the #1 streaming device for all content. This is exactly why they didn't include the UHD on the PS4 PRO. YOU consumers clearly made it so, MORE people are streaming watching there content than they are buying $30 UHD Blurays to watch one movie. It makes sense across the board, this console is future proofing moving forward with the technology of 4K and HDR and enhancing future game titles with improving everything developers can do with. If you all want a UHD player for $300 get the Xbox One S, clearly that is what many of you are interested in and less on games having 4K support as well. This is a VIDEO GAME platform first and a multimedia entertainment system second.

People need to be happy that it has a BR player to begin with. They almost didn't include a drive AT ALL. Having a 4KBR Player isn't a big deal. Most people have internet in their home. Having a connection fast enough for 4K content is very affordable.

Do not buy these power supplies
By Lidoec
I purchased 2 of these power supplies the first to go lasted 16 days the other 19 days. I went to return them to Best Buy and I was informed that if it has been past 15 days you receive no refund and no exchange you have to contact Insignia. I contacted Insignia and was told they would issue me store credit in a matter of 4 business days over 15 business days later I am told I will receive a gift card in the mail in 3 - 4 weeks time . I can not stress enough how poor of a quality the power supplies are and how poor quality the company itself is I will be selling my gift card or trading it for one from a far better store.

The cashier told me 30 days but receipt says 15 days so if mine dies in 16 days I will be talking to a manager that your cashier mislead me and they need to honor the refund or replace the unit. If they dont I will simply dispute the charge with my bank simple as that.
