Stefanie542's Reviews

Tony Goldwyn stars in the uplifting family story Joshua. The film is presented in a decent looking 1.33:1 full frame transfer that sports solid colors and dark black levels. While the transfer for this film looks very presentable, there are a few minor imperfections including some dirt/grain and a small amount of pixilation. Otherwise this is a decent transfer that should please fans. The soundtrack is presented in both Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround as well as Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround, both in English. The main directional effects and surround sounds for this audio track come in the form of popular Christian artist Michael W. Smith's emotional film score. Otherwise, this is a mostly front heavy mix that features distortion free dialogue, effects and music. Joshua features a few supplemental materials, starting with a behind-the-scenes look at the film. This short featurette includes interviews with the cast, crew and author of the best-selling novel on which the film is based. Some production notes, cast and crew info, a theatrical trailer and TV teaser round out the special features on this disc.

This is an awesome story of Jesus returning as Joshua and one of his missions is spiritually restoring the harmony in a dysfunctional town. It's simple and yet so refreshing. Even the actors speaking after the movie are inspiring. Great movie!
What's great about it: Joshua brings a dysfunctional town together in a spiritual manner
What's not so great: nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!
