Fun Game, Could Use a Change or Two

If you're into Wheel Of Fortune, then this game is for you. I've enjoyed playing it with the family. It does have Pat and Vanna in the game and there are many puzzles.
My only concerns with this game is that I have seen a couple of puzzles repeated. It would be nice if the Wii had a keypad or keyboard to type the letters instead of using the Wii d-pad. Thankfully though, if you choose to solve the puzzle, it gives you plenty of time to type it in. This game doesn't have much of a story. You just unlock a few clothing items and maybe a stage or two. There isn't much to making the game, so they could've included more levels or closet items at least.
This game is makes a good time killer and if you can get it at a cheap price, then why not buy it?
What's great about it: Just like the show, Mini games, Many Puzzles
What's not so great: Have seen a couple of repeats, Needs keypad feature

Better Than KS Season 2

I don't play this game too often, but when I do I remember how fun it is. The selection of sports from what I remember are bowling, boxing, table tennis, track & field, soccer, volley ball. Here are my ratings.
Bowling 2/5
I've worked at a bowling center and bowl frequently so I know the proper technique. Every time I pick up the bowl, my player shakes and wiggles, and the ball goes straight into the gutter half of the time. My siblings sometimes get strikes while other times they get a gutter ball.
Boxing 4/5
This game is very fun and gets your arms & shoulders very tired. You hold your hands up in front of you to get ready to punch or block yourself. When you sway your player sways with you to dodge punches. This thing is pretty accurate; however, to win is too easy. You just punch as fast as you can with the flick of your wrist as if you were punching a boxing speed bag.
Table Tennis 4/5
I do not play this one as much, but it seems to be a pretty good game. Not as entertaining as the others. The accuracy of the motion sensor seems to do well
Track & Field 4/5
This game I spend more time on. It includes 5 events: Sprint, Javelin throw, Jumping distance, Disc toss, Sprint with hurdles. The sprint games are all in raising the knee high with some speed. Jumping distance is about your running speed, your jump height, and if you thrust your arms forward upon jumping. The games I cannot figure out are the throwing challenges. I tried to change my power and how hard I throw the objects and sometimes it appears to be random. I believe there may be a small bug in the motion sensing for these two.
Soccer 4/5
This is another game I do not spend much time on, but what I will say is that be sure to have a spacious room. I played this one-on-one with my cousin and we kept kicking each other by accident. The kicking is pretty accurate and it automatically choose which person to kick to for you. It's not a bad game, and it will leave you a little tired at the end of the session.
Volleyball 5/5
This is another selection I spend a good amount of time at. I gave this a 5 out of 5 because I've never had a problem with the motion sensing on this game. This one is truly about focuses on your target. It allows you to serve, hit, and spike. I wouldn't say it is my favorite among the bunch, but the creators did a great job on this one.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a motion game. This would be great for a get together or a family night.
What's great about it: Great game for single and multiplayer
What's not so great: Has a couple of bug that need to be worked on

One Blu-Ray Purchase You Won't Regret

Christopher Nolan has created a sequel that I must keep up with. The Dark Knight's story, acting, and quality is near perfect.
If you want the ultimate viewing experience then you must watch this blu-ray at night, on a big screen (preferably LED), with the 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound turned up. This image quality and background music was made for it.
What's great about it: Great batman movie, Clear image and sound quality

I'm the Baby, Gotta Love Me

I remember watching this as a child back in the early 90s on video cassette. I had only four episodes, but watched them over and over which never got old to me. I couldn't believe my eyes when I found out the whole set was on DVD. I purchased this product along with The complete first and second season.
This show is a family-friendly show. They director extracted adult situations and turned them into a prehistoric situation where kids would enjoy it, yet it would be funny to adults because there were parts which were over the children's head (harmless comedy).
I introduced this to my 11 year old sister and now she asks me to sit down and watch it with her. The crew did an unbelievable job with costumes and props. Takes more work than today's CG and it's greatly appreciated. The DVD extras should have some behind the scenes footage and other extras.
i would recommend this DVD for family entertainment or for the sake of those who grew up in the 90s.
What's great about it: Family entertainment, DVD extras
What's not so great: Show discontinued, Wish they made more episodes
I would recommend this to a friend!

I remember spending my childhood sitting in front of the tube watching the same video cassette episodes of the Sinclairs, B.P. Richfield, and Roy Hess (Hence fuel companies for names). I only had maybe a total of four episodes as a child but they never got old. My day was made once I had finally found all episodes on DVD. I ordered them asap and enjoyed what I had missed out. These episodes make me laugh and I appreciate the dedication and elbow grease put into these costumes. I've always thought they look cooler than today's CG.
I showed a few episodes to my younger sister and now she will ask me frequently if I want to watch Dinosaurs. This show really is funny because they took adult situations, then boiled them down into a mixture of something prehistoric and family oriented.
These DVDs also include some neat extras and behind the scenes. I would recommend this along with the other complete set of Dinosaurs.
What's great about it: Family entertainment, DVD extras
What's not so great: Not enough episodes, Show was discontinued
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another remake of Super Mario Brothers and it is still interesting! This game makes a great addition to any Wii library. Similar to SMB 3, you travel around on a map.
What I like about this game is that it includes multiplayer and you can get as many continues as you want. This also has mini games in between some of the levels.
Anyone who can use a Wii console should definitely give this game a try.
What's great about it: Basically like the original, Fun for all ages, Multiplayer

They may look cute, but there's nothing nice about the characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This fighting frenzy will have you inflicting painful KO's on familiar opponents you thought were your friends. Take your frustrations out on Link, Mario and other characters from throughout the gaming world. Shoot spaceships out of the sky in the Lylat System from the Star Fox games and deal out killer blows in Rumble Falls based on the look and feel of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat.Hit opponent after opponent to build up your damage meter, then knock your enemies clear off the screen. Rely on weapons that are silly but very effective, such as banana peels, pitfalls, gooey bombs and many more. Hurl old-school crates and barrels or select from Assist Trophies and Poke Balls to strike fear in the hearts of your foes. Combine Standard, Strong and Smash attacks to bash your way to victory. There are so many ways to smash, you'll get lost in the melees for hours on end.

Super Smash Brothers Legacy Continues

What can I say other than Nintendo has done it again? I've played SSB for N64 and SSB Melee for GameCube. I would say this has to be in the top 3 multiplayer games for Nintendo Wii. It makes perfect for a party and I think it would be fun to use in a tournament.
SSB gives the gamer many choices in character selection. I've noticed the addition of Sonic (of course you have to unlock him). This game also has over 15 fighting stages to choose from and brings back some of the stages from Melee. If I can say anything, then it's to add more original stages. Also, SSB Brawl has a variety of CPU difficulty. Instead of the usual easy, medium, and hard, the gamer can choose between a level 1 (easiest) and level 10 (hardest).
If you are playing alone, you can either chose to do the storyline or fight on a level against one, two, or three other CPUs. Multiplayer choices include a free-for-all or team battle.
I assume this is rated Teen because of violence; however, there isn't any gore and just about all characters are originally from Nintendo, so I don't see why children shouldn't play. I HIGHLY recommend making this game an addition to anyone's gaming library.
What's great about it: One of the best multiplayer games, Fun for all skill levels

Great All-Around Movie for Blu-Ray: GRID CHALLENGE

This movie was one of the first movies I have watched in blu-ray and it's unbelievable. The color and CG are immaculate. Watch this in the dark on a big LED screen, 5.1 surround sound with the volume & bass up, and prepare for the movie night of your life because things get crazy once young Flynn crosses over! Highly recommended purchase.
What's great about it: Color, Plot, CG, Sound
What's not so great: Nothing

This release from the kids' action franchise Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles includes four full-length films from the heroes, following the martial-arts foursome through live-action and CG adventures in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from 2007.

It's All About the First 3 Movies
on July 10, 2012

I have watched the first three movies multiple times for over 15 years, and somehow I cannot get enough of this movie. I do not care much for the new one released, but I may watch it seldom. This is on a two disc set and includes all four theatrical movies. One feature I did not expect from this were the extras and they're quite impressive. They include the theatrical trailers of the originals and from what I remember the disc with the first movie has a game. You use the arrows on your DVD remote to navigate through a sewer maze to find the pizza lol, but watch out for the shred head and the foot.
Purchase set at a great price especially if you're interested in extras. If you are more concerned about quality over anything else, then the new blu-ray set is a must have. They are redone to include 5.1 surround for all movies, and the image quality is clearer; however, no extras.
What's great about it: 4 movies & Under $15, Includes 3 originals, DVD Extras

This set compiles the first thirteen episodes of the series Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, a show that focused on the heroic foursome battling a new enemy, Dragon Lord. They also add a new member to the ranks, Venus De Milo, the first female teenage mutant ninja turtle.

Ninja Turtles, Not Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
on July 10, 2012

I've been a TMNT aficionado since I watched the original theatrical movies and cartoon series when I was 4. I just watched Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation on Netflix, I watched one and half episodes and I will say it is thirty minutes I will never get back.
It does have the main characters: Michelagelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael. Also includes Splinter, Shredder, and the foot clan. Sounds good so far right? Well, the director put a new twist to it which did not grasp my attention. They added a 5th turtle, vehicles, cheap looking costumes, and terrible actors. You can tell in the fight scenes that sometimes people never even get touched when they are kicked or punched. Also the camera changes scenes too fast during the fights to even understand what is going on. I know it's suppose to appeal to younger children, but the original movies did a WAY better job making it entertaining while being family friendly. Even the original Power Rangers from the early 90s looks less cheesy than this late 90s NT: TNM series.
I was excited to see this on Netflix, but I was disappointed after actually watching it. I would not recommend watching if you're a TMNT fan.
What's great about it: Original characters
What's not so great: Cheesy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
