Simple Yet Brilliant

This movie isn't for everyone. It doesn't go at a the break-neck pace that people, not me, have become accustomed to today. Yet it doesn't go so slow as to make you say get on with it already like lots of other low budget movies do as they waste your time with dozens of shots of the lead character "thinking" or driving or anything else that makes their actual 40 minute story drag on for 90 minutes. Ed Harris is a brilliant actor and how he doesn't get nominated for more awards is beyond me. There's a mystery involving his character here that is handled beautifully at the end. I can't think of one really bad actor among the kids in this film. They all did a really good job. I usually despise narration in movies but all the words said just add to the movie instead of detract from it as is usually the case with narration. The only thing that hurts it slightly is Randy Orton's horrible acting but WWE had to put one of their sub-par actors/sports entertainers in it.
Speaking of WWE. I was obsessed with wrestling for 30 years and know more about wrestling up until 2007 than almost anybody not working in the business or related to someone in the business. Vince McMahon is in my top 2 all-time hated human beings EVER. I watched this online before buying it here and when the WWE logo flashed on the screen at the beginning I almost stopped the video but decided I'd give it 20 minutes, which is the usual amount of time I give the garbage today before I say enough already and stop watching. If I'm giving this 5 stars, you better believe I think it's unbelievably great to overcome the McMahon factor and it shocks me in ways you can not imagine that the devil McMahon, that's real life devil Vince McMahon and not the "sports entertainment" character Mr. McMahon, shocked I say that anything McMahon had a hand in could be this great considering the dung movies they put out month after month and who he is as a person. If you're saying to yourself I'm not watching this because of all those other awful WWE movies, you'd be wise to think again.
All ages can enjoy this but if you have school age kids you should really let them watch this movie and learn what tolerance and understanding are all about.
I didn't rate the DVD extras because I just bought this yesterday and it hasn't been shipped yet but as I already said have already watched this movie, several times in fact. BUY IT!
What's great about it: It will hopefully help curb the real life and cyber bullying epidemic
What's not so great: Randy Orton is in it
I would recommend this to a friend!

I wrote a review of the only new version page of this game I saw but didn't see that was a Playstation 3 version, which is exactly the same anyway, didn't notice until after that review was approved. My game is an xbox 360 version, still the same, so I'm posting the link to that review here as well. The review link is

Don't bother turning off auto-save because it's still going to auto-save. Send a guy down a minor league level one day and watch him pitch or bat the next day in the level he's no longer at anyway. If you get to the manage organization screen at any time you don't have enough batters or pitchers at any level, you're stuck there with no way to get out. You can't leave and sign a free agent to fill out your roster. It will keep you there as if there's some magical way you can fix it without leaving so franchise over and you have to start completely over meaning you've wasted however much time trading and drafting up until that point to build your team, which isn't stated anywhere in any of their helps or manuals.
There's a salary cap despite there being no such thing in MLB that's called a "budget" and not only a cap but the Pirates, Padres and Blue Jay caps are way lower than the Yankees and Red Sox so have fun watching them sign a stud player for 15 million and he only gets 80 AB's a season for them in 5 years and the poorer teams can only sign the scrubs and have to start them besides. That may be what happens in real baseball because of cheap owners but not because of a set in stone cap so applying a mandatory cap/budget in the game is totally ridiculous. With the cap/budget many CPU teams go over so you can't trade with them, not real baseball. Despite those teams being over budget, you can't go over budget as it caps what you can offer any free agent so a screw job cap to any real person but not the CPU teams besides.
Watch Mariano Rivera blow 10 saves before the All Star break on another simulated team, which is "realistic" for sure (sarcasm) since "realistic" is used to describe EVERYTHING in entertainment and video games now even though they're not. Watch stud pitcher's with 2 ERA's in 30 starts go 2-9 on the season cause that happens in baseball. Watch stud pitchers routinely, that's many times a season, give up 6 to 8 runs in simulation and end up with 5+ ERA's and 1.40 to 1.50 WHIPs.
Watch as Carlos Gonzalez, Evan Longoria and some other stud pitchers' and batters' ratings go down ALWAYS in every franchise you ever play. Trending arrows mean ZERO as guys with straight up routinely don't progress even after having monster seasons and/or winning awards so what's the point? Hiring high rated teachers and motivators as coaches affects your progression and win-loss totals no more than hiring mediocre coaches so what's the point? When using trade finder you're going to get offered back 90% the same guys in every franchise you ever play so boring beyond belief.
Watch as even having 5 SP's with really high stamina ratings they still end up pitching at 80% most of the season. Watch as the game puts 60 stamina career relievers in as starting pitchers for the CPU teams just because they're rated a point higher than the starter and watch those guys STILL sometimes end up with better numbers than Hamels, Wainwright and Greinke. That's career relievers better than elite starters now. Watch as DH's get fatigued only slightly less than guys playing the field. Watch as tons of guys batting well over .300 have sub .200 RISP averages and I mean tons, which is mathematically possible but doesn't actually happen as often as it does in this wonderful game. Watch as teams with tons of money DO NOT sign the same bunch of stud free agents year after year IN EVERY FRANCHISE YOU EVER PLAY! And those guys won't sign with the poorer teams for less so they sit out entire seasons, not real baseball.
Watch as you turn off ALL the auto manage line-up and pitching rotation features and the game still resets your batting and pitching line-ups when it feels like it. Watch as the game puts guys that can't play a position in that position anyway so that he makes 2 or 3 errors costing a simulated team a game and despite there being a rested player that actually plays that position on the bench. Watch as the highest rated reliever gets used way LESS than the other guys. Watch as the closer is NOT used in save situation after save situation despite being rested and available so games are blown by lesser pitchers. Watch as even with 12 pitchers on a staff all the relievers are near 100 innings. Watch as you turn allow injuries down to near zero and injuries occur just as much anyway. Watch as playing in Colorado doesn't affect a pitcher's ERA negatively at all and playing in LA doesn't help it at all.
I could go on forever as there is even more but I'll stop here. I'm poor and for years have played very few games other than Madden and could never understand how it was the highest selling sports game ever with as many flaws and not football things it has. This game makes Madden look like the best game ever despite it not being that so I guess that's how the horrible Madden is rated so high. This is a truly awful game and total waste of time for anybody unlike me that actually has a life. Don't even buy it on discount or better yet, don't even take it if someone offers it to you for free.

I have a 1 TB Toshiba portable drive that I bought last year and have had zero problems with it. This 3 TB drive is another story. It isn't recognized by my LG blu-ray player. It isn't recognized by my digital TV converter. There are even times it's not recognized by my PC until I unplug the USB wire and plug it back in. I also have Seagate and Western Digital drives on top of the previously mentioned Toshiba 1 TB drive and ALL those work fine on all devices. If you have any plans of using this drive on anything other than a PC, you may want to think twice before buying it.
